Forget Ebay, this exact phone is $199 on Amazon and Ebay prices aren't competitive. If you are on Amazon's site just run a search for Samsung Folder 2 and look.

Q: Why does this phone cost three times what its worth?

The real answer is that this phone is made for the Asian market not the US market. Many phones are sold at a discount in markets that they aren't intended for and that is the case here. Anything you buy is worth what you are willing to pay for it.

Q: Does it work with att&t in the states

Yes it works with AT&T. It also works with Consumer Cellular if you use AT&T service through them. It also works with T-Mobile and other GSM service providers. To get the phone to work in the USA just visit your service providers site and review the APN settings and create one in the Folder 2 to match. Restart your phone and wait a few minutes for your phone to register on the network and it should work just fine. Many service providers can send you an automatic APN configuration to make it easy. This phone works very fast and reliably on AT&T.

Q: is it capable of getting apps? and if so from what app store?

Yes! I have all the apps I need on it, can download from playstore, fully functional Android version, does not have TTS, but can download TalkBack from playstore.
