This deters my puppy from everything, he hates it. I would recommend trying it.

I used it with my puppy and it works a treat. They onviously don't like the taste and only lick it and never go back to it. Wall paper, skirting boards, kitchen cupboards and rattan furniture have all been saved!

I think it would probably be safe, however, toddlers might object to their favourite toys smelling unpleasant! The bottle says to keep out of the reach of children but probably because larger quantities could prove harmful. I'm afraid I cannot be more certain than this, but I hope it is of some help. It is originally intended to prevent dogs chewing themselves and getting sore, but we have heard that it is often used for cats too. Whether the smell is a sufficient deterrent depends on the cat as it is intended that the taste is the unpleasant ingredient.
