Detailers United - PowerCone Polishing Pad For Cleaning Exhaust Tips

I bought this polishing cone to primarily use as a means of improving the brown discoloration on my motorcycle exhaust system. Its a stainless steel exhaust and requires a lot of polishing to maintain, but obviously heat will always cause discoloration even with maintenance and so I needed something to help reduce the discoloration; this polishing cone was the answer. I used it with Autosol and a battery operated screwdriver and was amazed at how well it worked. Admittedly there was a fair amount of delicacy required to not put too much pressure on the exhaust but it was well worth the results, with at least a 70% reduction in the discoloration overall.

Very good quality product. I bought this to finish off the exhaust pipes on my new (used) car. Whilst the car had been detailed and looked as good as new, the pipes had never been cleaned. I used Autosol with brass and nylon brushes to get rid of the worst deposits, then 0000 steel wool to get the job 90% complete. The cone was the perfect item to complete the job. I covered it with a little more Autosol and used my lithium drill to bring the pipes up to a lovely finish - on the inside and out. They now look as good as new. Had to discard the cone after as it was covered in black soot but I have bought a 2nd one for maintenance. Now takes 30 seconds once a week using the cone on the drill to keep the pipes looking new.

Good quality product, could do with being a little bit less firm, as i had to use a soft microfiber cloth to get that final high gloss shine. Delivery time was excellent.

Unfortunately it fell apart on first quick use cleaning the face of my golf club. And went all over the floor.

Ideal for larger exhaust tips, works great for getting that stubborn dirt off but when it comes to the wheels and getting into the corners its useless because of the size of the product, I had to resort to using the old fashion method

I use it as an attachment on an electric drill to polish the chrome on my motorbike. It works beautifully.Recommended

Have'nt actually got round to using it yet but appears a quality made product.

Absolutely RUBBISH. It just about cleans the outer ring of the exhaust ( and not too good at that either) BINNED
