HiBloks Face Cover Pad with Cooling Fan for Meta Quest 3 Accessories

I recently purchased the HiBloks Facebook Cover Pad with Cooling Fan. This is actually my second purchase of this product as I seen they had made changes to the original design. Having owned the original design, I felt it was a solid product, but comfort was a bit lacking and some of the mesh inserts where the air would vent through came loose over time. I'm happy to say that both of these were things they fixed on the new design iteration! I'm reviewing this item around the same time as the groundbreaking Batman Arkham Shadows VR game has released, and if you have played this, you'll know how much of a workout the combat can be. This fan and face pad in turn have been a godsend, and I have no doubt, if Bruce Wayne was fighting in VR, he'd design some hi tech accessories just like this to aid him in his efforts. HiBloks has nailed this design providing a good balance of both comfort and functionality. The face pad comes with two options that adhere to the Velcro inside and provide unique feels to the way it fits to your face. Both are very comfortable, but I found myself gravitating more towards the leather pad more so than the cotton. I can finally play a couple of hours in VR and come out of it without a red ring on my face! 🤣 The fan is absolutely phenomenal. It operates with its own battery that is charged up via USB C and it mounts right on to the facial interface that is part of this product. It is very easy to remove, recharge, and equip again. The battery actually keeps a good charge for a decent length of time and blows cool air through the unit cooling you off and preventing sweat and heat from hampering your experience. The lenses do not fog up nor is there air blowing directly into your eyes and drying them out as the design vents it around properly to where this isn't an issue. I've also found my unit is less likely to overheat after hours of continuous high performance play. Another thing I'll add here is that HiBloks has also added in a piece in this iteration that forms around your nose and blocks out light leakage which is a nice extra value add. Overall, I can't sing this accessory's praises enough. To me, it's a must have to your VR arsenal.

I have had mine for less than two months and it won't charge anymore. I have been trying to find someway to get to the sales with no luck. I would think this should last longer than two months.

So I bought this thinking it would be a great way to cool my face a bit while playing. Boy was I wrong. Even turned to high, the air flow is barely noticeable. On top of that the unit arrived used. the tamper seal on the packaging was cut and the item was not packed inside the box as it should have been but loose. It’s obviously a returned item being sold as new. I attempted to use it anyway just to see if it worked and discovered that the facial frame does not snap on correctly. The top section snaps right in but the section around the nose keeps popping out. It won’t secure itself in. I can’t help but remember reading another review here at Amazon complaining about this very same issue. Anyways, even if it did fit properly, the cooling is terrible.

I added the HiBloks Face Cover Pad with Cooling Fan to my FrankenQuest 3 setup, and while it’s a great concept, it has some drawbacks. The silk cushion is super comfortable, and the fan does an excellent job keeping me cool during intense VR sessions—until the battery dies. Pros: ✅ Comfortable Ice Silk Cushion: Feels soft and breathable. ✅ Keeps You Cool: Works great for high-intensity games. ✅ Quiet Fan: Barely noticeable when running. Cons: ❌ Battery Life is Lacking: Doesn’t last long before needing a recharge. ❌ Durability Issues: After a couple of months, it only works on high speed. ❌ Fragile Around the Nose: I actually cracked the nose section when installing it and had to buy a second interface. Probably more user error than a product flaw, but still something to watch out for. Final Thoughts: In my FrankenQuest 3 setup, this fan pad was a cool addition (literally)—until the battery limitations and fragility kicked in. When it’s running, it makes a huge difference in comfort and lens fog prevention, but the short battery life and delicate nose section hold it back. Great while it lasts—just be gentle when installing! ❄️🔋🎮

I was give the opportunity to test the Hibloks interface with cooling fan for the Meta Quest 3. The fan is awkwardly seated on top of the headset where I’m used to grabbing it to put the Quest on and protrudes forward past the front of the headset. Something I’ll have to get used to. The fan itself has two speed options. One setting is for alternating high-low speed and the second option is for high speed. The high-speed setting creates just enough of a breeze on the face without drying out the eyes. I don’t normally have a lens fogging issue so I can’t attest to that benefit. The fan has an internal battery that runs wirelessly for a few hours. To recharge it, simply plug it in with the provided charging cable while the headset is charging. It charges quickly. The facial interface is an upgraded version that comes with two face pad options that are more comfortable than the stock interface: one soft PU leather pad that reminds me of the VRCover I had on my Quest 2. The second is soft, silky, very comfortable, and keeps the sweat from dripping down my face while exercising. The face pads are removable for cleaning too. The interface also has a removable silicone nose guard, something that the stock interface doesn’t have, which allows for light blockage. Unfortunately, with the facial interface installed, my headset doesn’t make contact with the Meta charging base for charging. Since this is the only flaw I’ve experienced, it’s still worth of 4.8 stars.

Great product, definitely helps keep you cool and it has decent battery life. It takes about a minute to get used to the airflow around my eyes, but after that it's very comfortable.

The actual fan is ok. I have a meta quest2 and I it has the same fan. What changed is the actual plastic part where the fan and the device attaches. I feel this is a very cheap knockoff. It is very poorly made and the plastic is very flimsy. I received the product and had to exchange it for a new one because it came broken. Then the other one wouldn’t attach to the quest3 properly and still had poor quality. I ended up returning both. I will look for a better option. This is not it!

When it stays clipped to the headset it works perfectly but it dies super quick also.

Super comfortable and helps keep my face cool and my lenses dry.

Works well, not very noisy, unfortunatly incompataible with the dock, it pushes the headset away from the pogo pins.

I have to wonder how small the battery is. Imagine this device, with a USB passthrough connection, where it draws the power from the same USB to the headset, and automatically charges the same time. That would be perfect! But here, after a few hours, you must remember to re-charge the box. Beyond that, it does take care of fog and that's awesome.
