Not a good pitch
Not sure if I brought the wrong one, my Sister has one of these and itβs really good, but his one aunt got a very good pitch! Dogs donβt really take much notice π

Probably a good dog whistle, but not for my dog
Seems ok, a bit flimsy for the price but ok. Main problem for us is that our dog is TERRIFIED of this whistle. Tried twice a training session where we associate very tasty snack with whistle, and achieved training my dog to be terrified of both steak and cheese so far. Had intended to train recall, and result is the opposite - running away and hiding in terror. 4 stars for whistle, 0 stars for dog.

My new favourite dog whistle!
My labrador has made a habit of spotting a potential friend across the park and running off to play. All well and good, but he can't always hear me calling him when I want him back, especially when it's windy. This whistle, on the other hand, he can always hear. The nice thing about whistles is that they can't particularly convey tone. My dog's very sensitive to being "in trouble", so sometimes if he is prevented from returning instantly (whether because he's been too busy playing to pay attention or because he's found a particularly tasty pile of dead leaves to munch on) he hears the mild irritation in my voice and returns hesitantly. Not so with the whistle - he comes running like it's the best game in the world, even when he's previously been being a tad naughty.I love that this brand is manufactured to be a consistent tone. My dog will generally come back to most whistles when he realises I'm the one blowing it, but there's always a few weeks of adjustment before he gains an instant response. The consistent tone means I can bypass that two week retraining period so long as I always buy the same number, which is very handy. Makes buying spares a doddle too. I've got a whistle on my house keys and one on the treat bag, so I'm never without one when I need it.

Great Whistle
This is a great little whistle, the sound is fairly kind on my ears as far as whistles go, while still carrying well outside even in wet windy conditions.I got this whistle mainly for my old girl, who is mostly deaf now, and I got tired of shouting over and over, clapping my hands, etc... to get her attention whilst out on walks. Being an older dog it's taking her a little while to learn that the whistle means come, however she is starting to pick it up. She can hear the whistle from a fair distance away which is exactly what we hoped for and with a little more time and training it should work great and help save my voice! My younger dog has picked it up very quickly and now comes running to me the second she hears the whistle! It works much better for recall with her then voice aids do. Being a rescue dog who'd never been taken out for a walk before we got her she she gets very distracted by everything and you really have to shout loud to get her attention. However the whistle sound being so distinct and easy for her to hear grabs her attention instantly.

Acme 210.5 whistle, bright yellow - its a blast!
Have had one of these whistles for well over 10 years having inherited it from my dad who trained gundogs (labs and springers) and have since trained my own spaniels to it. Decided to buy another as a backup because my original whistle was black and I kept mislaying it. So when I saw they now make coloured versions I went for the bright yellow as I thought it would be easier to spot if I lost it!Fast delivery and well packaged. Certainly bright enough, identical in size and shape to my old whistle but doesnt seem to be as finely finished - some parts of edges are a bit rougher in places and I find it needs stronger breath to get a sharp blast on it. Pleased enough though, it does the job and is still the best gundog whistle I have found yet. Just need my current mad sprocker to respond to it now!

Pretty darn good
This is a pretty good, reasonable priced whistle. My dog (a Sprocker) responds well to it plus itβs nice and small. Only reason for 4 not 5 starts is the lack of an included lanyard. Had to make my own.

Good dog whistle
I have loads of these if you are a dog owner you seem to lose them all the time, the bright colors help out. I took a star off only due to price i really cant understand why they cost so much when you can get a plastic whistle that is not a dog related for half the price. Anyway these work, they are well made and if you have working dogs or want to train your dog to the whistle this will do the job.
