Cleaner for milk containers

I used to put my milk container in the dishwasher or use washing up liquid, as per the instructions in the manual, but I found my Lattes had an aftertaste of detergent or rinse aid. I therefore looked for a more specialist product, because I still wanted to make sure the frother was properly clean between uses and didn't feel like just rinsing with water was enough. Although it isn't cheap, I went with the official De'longhi product because I didn't want to risk using anything harsh that might damage the parts. The "automatic" cleaning process in the instructions (the one where you use the cleaning fluid in the machine's cleaning cycle) is very long-winded and complex, so I now just do the "manual" process and pop the parts in the Milk tank with 50ml of the fluid and 500ml half boiling and half tap temperature water (to get the recommended ~60°c) and leave it for 5-10 mins, before giving them all a good rinse and it works well. I do it once or twice a week and rinse with water in between. I also sometimes put some of the fluid on a damp cloth or kitchen towel and wipe the spouts and outside of the machine. I have to say that I am really happy using it. I just wish the bottle lasted a bit longer and wasn't so expensive

Works well at eliminating stale milk smells and removing milk based residue from been to cup machines featuring the DeLonghi LatteCrema system. It's worth five stars (as a product that really works) but four stars awarded as it is expensive. Full instructions are wrapped on the inside of the label, which can be tricky to remove!

Really restored my coffee machine's proper functionality. Now the frothed milk is perfectly frothed.

Appeared to work well by the oily content of the water after flushing.

Bought to help clean milk frother on my Delonghi machine. Dies exactly "what it says on the tin" recommended.

Does what it says on the tin. But I won’t be buying this again. As warm soapy water and a wire brush that came with my coffee machine, will do exactly the same job. Just another way of De’Longhi skimming 🥁 more money off their customers.
