This product worked for me this year. Last year I had a swallows nest above my bedroom window which caused quite a bit of mess where the cars were parked. When they had vacated the nest I took it down and cleaned the area. Other neighbours had pinned up plastic bags but I did not like the look of that so I opted for this product. It was easy to install with the given sticky pads and screws. You can use one or the other but I opted for both for security. I like how the product can be adjusted for size depending on your peak. I can recommend this product.

As it is still August and swallows are still in the nest, I haven't yet installed the item. I will wait until the birds emigrate. I will then not have a result of its effectiveness until next year when the birds return for the summer. For this reason I am yet unable to give it a true star rating but I do believe it will be a success. When the birds left their nest around September 2018 I fitted this device after removing the old nest and all the debris. This year for the first time in about 5 years the swallows have not nested at the apex and I attribute this to the success of the item. I did use some screws for extra security as well as the sticky pads to hold it in place. I would sincerely recommend this product.

I love House Martins but after quite a few summers of being unable to open my bedroom window due to the mess from a nest in the eaves directly above, I decided to give this contraption a try. Success, they’ve gone elsewhere and weren’t harmed in the process! Easy to fit, although quiet expensive for a simple piece of Perspex.
