These really work
Easy to install, did it myself with some screws (not supplied) and they fit perfectly along my standard fence panels. No more cat or fox poo on my lawn! These are made of very hard plastic and the spikes are very sharp, from the photos I thought it looked like a softer silicone but it is not. I am pleased with the quality. I went for the brown and it fits in well on top of the fence.

Good cat and fox deterent - garden now a haven for small birds
Our garden has become a haven for small birds especially young chaffinches and bulfinches many of which seem clueless about predators such as cats. Cat proofing a garden is a challenge. Some cats do have a limited tollerance to the spikes so you will likley need to put them all the way along a wooden fence plus any supporting rails near the top of a wooden fence. I have even put the spikes on fence pole tops. Cats are amazing at getting through small holes or between the slats of some ranch style fences. I used chicken wire and a staple gun. Trellice will also do the job. These strips come three wide turn over and use a Stanley knife to separate into single strips. If there is a way arround the. spikes it is likley a cat will find it. The easiest way to install is using a powered screwdriver. I bought hundreds of 25 mm scres from screwfix. Using singly you will need about 10 screws/meter. Soon use up a pack of 200.

BRILLIANT IDEA,DOES EXACLTY WHAT IS SAYS ON THE TIN
The spikes are fantastic and great for any unwanted pests that you have coming into your garden ie cats, foxes and anything else that you would put in this kind of catagory. When the spikes first arrived they were so good I couldn't possibly think they were legal but I decided to buy them after some lengthy web search to make sure they were but I do advise you to strategically place the warning signs you receive with the spikes so as to cover all you bases if someone/thing gets hurt. Since I've placed the spikes down one side of my garden on top of the panels I haven't seen any cats what so ever although watching a couple on the first day they were up trying to negotiate it was hilarious and needless to say they haven't been back! I can't fault these spikes and I have already ordered more for the rest of the panels so my garden can hopefully be impenetrable to any kind of hairy unwanted pest although I must warn you the wife mastered them in less than half an hour.

Stop unwanted guests
So already had some of these from elsewhere, decided to do the rest of my fence as my neighbour left his fence collapse and not replace. These are really good value for money, the strip is 3 wide and you need 4 strips per fence but the bonus is you can cut each one into 3 pieces - this is what i did (handle with care) There are plenty of screw hole so make sure you buy plenty for fixing. Caution - as they can cut/stick in you if your not careful (thats the idea though). Pigeons and squirrels still walk arounf them with ease (1 strip wide) which i am happy with - i just dont want people in my garden. If you do want to stop animals then i suggest leave as 3 strips wide.

Sturdy spikes
Spikes were of good quality and as described. I installed them on the top of my 6x6ft fences to prevent any trespassers and I must say they are painful to the touch especially if you press hard on them but not dangerous enough to cause serious injury to any living species. I did not need to cut them down in length or width as 4pcs of these fitted perfectly on one panel but you will need to have a bag of little screws ready cos they are not included. I needed 10 screws minimum per strip and that's not even using all the screw holes as did not feel it was necessary. I would recommend these as they seem to be an effective deterrent.

Not good against pigeons
I fixed the spikes to cover my windowsills but the pigeons stood on the spikes and even dared to lay an egg on them. That said, the product is good quality and may be effective in different situations.

Good but not a perfect solution
Product is excellent value & seems robust it has drastically reduced the birds pooing on the kids swing BUT there's a couple of doves that somehow manage to sit on top of the spikes. I can't get close enough to see what they're doing but their feet could be between the spikes. Good design, good value but may not 100% solve your bird problem. Well worth a try tho esp at this price.
