I love it it is perfect but expensive but I like it

This was something of a desperate purchase. My eldest daughter doesn't normally play football, but she was magically selected to compete in a school competition at quite short notice - and asked to bring her own shin pads. So I checked prices on Amazon - fairly reasonable - but I wasn't overly confident at getting the sizing right. So I decided instead to go to Decathlon. Then I forgot. Thankfully, I had Prime to fall back on in my hour of need. I decided to order the Mitre Aircell shin pads online, as they looked pretty decent, had good reviews and were reasonably priced. The size chart was related to child height so I felt I had a good chance of being able to order the correct size. They turned up the day before the competition. My daughter tried them on and they were a really nice fit - she's 145cm / age 11 - curved just enough to fit snug on her leg and with an adaptable, wide, elasticated strip with velcro fastening. She wasn't, therefore, reliant on decent-fitting socks to keep them in place. She liked them, they looked good and after I punched them a few times to test them out she assured me she didn't feel a thing!Unfortunately, the match was then postponed! So after all the faff, she might not get to wear them for a month or two. Nightmare! The good news is, after she's worn them for her solitary match, my youngest daughter - who thankfully plays football - can at least get some wear out of them in a couple of years' time. On another note, they do look great. Which is perhaps not essential when you're trying to protect your body parts, but it does matter though, doesn't it?

Bought the Large size but bit small but work well recommend larger size than L for over average hight

For the new school term, these look great and fit my granddaughter just fine. Easy to use and have left and right written on the labels for ease.

The medium size was a little bit tight for my 11 year old. But it was great value for money. I will have to by a large for him and let the 6 year old use the medium. It was good my son loves it

Nice kids' shin pads. They are well-shaped for small legs and a decent size. They fit my tall 7yo well. Under football socks they didn't slip around.The one downside is the elastic calf strap is pretty weak. It's easily over-stretched and doesn't feel secure. The velcro is super strong; great when it's closed, not so great when it attaches itself to another item of clothing. I will probably cut the straps off and slide them into the socks from now on. At worst, I'll get my son to wear a tubigrip to keep the pads still.Overall, nice Shinpads for smaller footballers, let down by the elastic calf straps

Cheap, lightweight but still do the job. Great product. I use them as an adult as I prefer small shin pads, and these are ideal.

Von der Qualität her sind sie nicht schlecht, aber sie sind unheimlich kurz. Die Größen gehen nach der Körpergröße, ich habe schon etwas größer angegeben, aber die sind doch sehr kurz.Ich glaube, die schützen nicht komplett.

Product page did not mention the size and height it was recommended for. Turned it to be for people who are shorter, so it doesn't cover my full shin. The elastic strap had also gotten spoiled after a few months of infrequent wear. The shin guards themselves are of very good quality, better than most on the market.

I really liked the idea of these but they gave me bruising. The bottom of the shin guards caused redness and irritation and bruising where it came in contact with my ankle. There was also bruising on the lower half of my shin which I believe was from the hardness of the knee pads. This sucked because these were easy to put on and I really liked how they were just a Velcro strap and not a sleeve.
