Renovo Ultra Proofer, 500 ml, Neutral, 500ml

I’m extremely pleased with the Renovo International RUP1114 Ultra Proofer and would happily give it five stars. This product has been a great addition to my cleaning and protection routine, providing an effective way to help maintain and protect surfaces. It is easy to apply and delivers excellent results without unnecessary hassle. The 1-litre size is very practical, providing plenty of product for multiple applications while still being easy to store and handle. I found the consistency easy to work with, allowing good coverage and an even finish. The neutral formulation is also a great advantage, as it works well without adding unwanted colour or altering the appearance of the surface being treated. The results have been impressive, leaving surfaces looking well cared for while providing the protection I was looking for. It feels like a high-quality product that has been designed with both performance and ease of use in mind. Overall, the Renovo International Ultra Proofer offers excellent value for money and has performed exactly as expected. It is reliable, straightforward to use, and produces professional-looking results. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a dependable proofer that helps protect and maintain surfaces effectively. A great product that deserves five stars!

Excellent stuff used it on my old landy soft top which hadnt been treated for years . It totally transformed it , i put two coats on and when it rains now the water just beads up and runs off instead of soaking into the fabric and making it damp inside, the fabric feels more pliable now so ill be buying more and treat the top once a year there was more then enough to do two coats ,i would recommend to have a wet cloth to wipe of any drips from the paint work when applying product .

This proofer was easy to apply and did a good job of restoring water repellency to my outdoor fabric. It dried clear and didn't noticeably affect the appearance of the material. The only reason for four stars is that coverage wasn't quite as generous as I'd hoped, so larger items may need more than expected. Overall though, it's an effective product and I'd use it again.

I used this to re waterproof the soft top on my 2006 Audi A4 cabriolet. First I cleaned the top using Renovo's soft top canvas cleaner and a soft top cleaning brush that I also bought on Amazon. I cleaned the top twice and used about half of the half litre bottle of cleaner. The hood came up really clean but there were some minor stains that did not come out probably from tree sap. I then used the Renovo black soft top reviver and managed to get one coat on the top from the half litre bottle. It did a good job of hiding the minor stains. I did this outdoors as I don't have a garage and after about two hours on a cool August evening I checked and the restorer was touch dry. I then covered the hood using a thin plastic painting drop sheet of 4 meters by 4 meters and left it over night. The next morning was showery so during a dry spell I applied the Renovo ultra proofer and only just had enough to give it one coat from the half litre bottle. I let it get touch dry and then recovered it with the plastic sheet couple of times when rain showers came through and uncovered it each time afterward. The soft top which was a bit stained and green in places looks like new. When it rains lightly the water beads up on the top but if it rains heavily the top will appear to be wet. Here is a tip for those who are going to clean and reproof their convertible tops, before you apply the restorer or reproofer use a lint roller to remove the small fibres that have been left behind from scrubbing the soft top fabric with the brush. I got some of the restorer and reproofer on the windows and the trims around the top but it was easy to clean off with a damp cloth. Overall I am very happy and the top looks like new.

Quite incredible, I bought all three of these Cleaner, colourer and proofer so here are my thoughts... The cleaner I did twice, painted on with a clean 2" brush, with care, yes it does run, but a simple bucket with warm water and a J cloth kept on top of everything. First one I left on for 20 mins, then light scrub with old nail brush. Then an hour later did the same except this time left it on for an hour, then scrub and rinse, outcome 70% of marks on a 23 year old Mazda MX roof were gone. This roof was light gray, but cleaner made it almost Very Light gray, looked clean. Used 250 ml of a 500ml bottle. Then colourer restorer, bear in mind my roof was light gray, four coats over two days, made it BLACK, Black like the Night, Black. I am delighted, again, on with a 2" brush and J cloth and bucket at hand. I left 5 hours between coats and delighted with outcome. Only slight mistake was I bought the 1 litre bottle and with four coats on a Mazda MX 5 roof I have around 300ml....maybe could have got away with the 500ml bottle. Proofer, again, three coats and used another Clean 2" brush and loyal J cloth and bucket and this dried faster 3 coats in 6 hours... Outcome DELIGHTED...I have a Silver car and a DEEP Black roof well worth 3 days work and £50, thank you!

The product known as renovo ultra proofer is a must for all canvas soft tops if you want to provide a 'mercury on glass' effect when it rains. Before application my canvas top just soaked up the water until it was saturated. Although it didn't leak it made me feal uneasy about the weather integrity of the hood. I thoroughly cleaned the top using another renovo product and waited for it to dry before applying the ultra proofer with a 2" paint brush as recommended in the instructions. The canvas soaked it up and dried quite quickly, having taken about half an hour to apply. Being a Bank Holiday I didn't have long to wait for the rain and the results were not immediately apparent. I thought perhaps that I had not used enough solution (approx. 500 ml)as the rain seemed to be being soaked up as usual but a few days later the difference was absolutely staggering. The water just pooled in beads that just looked like mercury on glass. No penetration whatsoever. I am hoping that the waterproofing will remain for a long time but will use the remainder of the 1 litre bottle when the effect starts to wear off. It couldn't have been easier to use and the effects are amazing. This product is highly recommended.

I love the majority of Renovo products - I recently used their cleaner, reviver and waterproofer products for my car's annual roof maintenance schedule. The cleaner is I think the only soft-top cleaner that contains anti-mildew and mould inhibitor, so can help stop green spots from appearing on your roof. The reviver transforms your faded soft-top to a nice deep black again. However the Ultra Proofer reviewed here doesn't really seem that effective - I gave it the required number of coats and rather than seeing the water bead off even after a prolonged downpour, my roof was saturated (not really a problem as it has an impermeable layer underneath, but it's nice to see it running off!) I followed this up with a couple of coats of Fabsil Gold, and now the water beads off perfectly even after it's rained all night - in fact it's a pain as when you open the door and get in all the droplets collect and you get wet. :) I'd recommend you try this and if it works for you great, but bear in mind you might get better results from Fabsil Gold.

I've used this product on both a 2001 Vauxhall VX220 canvas roof, and a 2004 VW Beetle Convertible. I've not tried Autoglym's alternative - so can't compare this product - but I hear that it's a good product also. I applied this product to both vehicles following the application of Renovo's Canvas Cleaner (a product which I was less impressed with). Obviously, your external roof surface has got to be clean prior to using the Ultra Proofer, as it will part seal in whatever is showing on your roof, for a time at least. Tip: In addition to whichever cleaning solution you opt for, I found an adhesive roller, like the Caraselle Lint/Pet Hair Remover (£4.50ish) really useful at getting hairs and all sorts of other material off the roof surface. You'd be surprised what it difference this tool makes visually, particularly on roofs more than a few years old. A single 500ml bottle of Ultra Proofer will not go very far if you're clumsy with this liquid or apply it unevenly. Take your time when applying and DO follow the instructions particularly with regard applying the product in a single session if possible. If you have to apply the product over two sessions (as I did once) then try to complete a roof 'panel' at least, and paint the product as far a seam (or join) on the roof material, so that any disparity in the application won't show. The product works well, and both roofs now nicely repel and bead water on the surface. If you use a high-pressure washer, then avoid the roof surface altogether. Rinsing the roof with a high-pressure lance will simply take off any previous weather-proofing straight away. Hope this helps.

Ich habe schon einige Mittel ausprobiert, um das Stoffverdeck meines Cabrios zu imprägnieren, aber keines hat mich so überzeugt wie der Renovo Fabric Soft Top Protector. Schon beim Auftragen merkt man, dass es sich um ein hochwertiges Produkt handelt – es lässt sich gleichmäßig verteilen (ich habe es mit einer kleinen Rolle und einem Pinsel verarbeitet) und zieht wunderbar ein. Nach dem Trocknen war der Unterschied deutlich sichtbar: Das Verdeck bekam wieder seine satte, gleichmäßige Farbe zurück und fühlt sich wieder richtig „frisch“ an. Besonders beeindruckend ist die Wasserabweisung – Regentropfen perlen perfekt ab, fast wie bei einer neuen Imprägnierung ab Werk. Ich habe das Produkt nach der Reinigung mit dem passenden Renovo Cleaner aufgetragen, was ich sehr empfehlen kann. Die Kombination sorgt für ein richtig sauberes, tief gepflegtes Ergebnis. Auch nach mehreren Wochen sieht das Verdeck immer noch top aus – kein Ausbleichen, kein Nachlassen der Imprägnierung. Ein weiterer Pluspunkt: Das Mittel bietet UV-Schutz und wirkt schimmelresistent, was besonders bei Cabrioverdecken wichtig ist, die oft Sonne und Feuchtigkeit ausgesetzt sind. Der Verbrauch ist ebenfalls moderat – mit einer Flasche konnte ich mein komplettes Verdeck großzügig behandeln. Fazit: ✅ Sehr einfache Anwendung ✅ Perfekter Abperleffekt – wie neu imprägniert ✅ Frischt Farbe und Struktur sichtbar auf ✅ UV- und Schimmelschutz inklusive ✅ Made in Britain – qualitativ top Ich kann den Renovo Fabric Soft Top Protector uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Wer sein Stoffverdeck liebt und langfristig schützen möchte, ist hier absolut richtig!
