Interpet Fish Pod Glass Aquarium Fish Tank, 120 L

This tank looks beautiful and comes with everything you need to start keeping cold water or freshwater tropical fish! I looked around many big brand pet stores and garden centre aquatics for a good tank and all of them wanted more than the £165 I bought this one for and that was for just a tank alone, with no filter, heater etc. Many of which were smaller tanks than this too. Furthermore, they expected you to get it home yourself or pay even more money for delivery. This superior tank on the other hand, showed up the next day at my doorstep with no delivery charge! The curved edges to the glass make the tank look a lot nicer in the room than other tanks I have previously owned with straight corners. I have had the tank up and running for about two weeks now with two tropical fish for the moment and some plants. All of which seem to be doing very well. The heater is performing excellently! I have set it to 25 degrees and the thermometer that came with the tank that I have placed on the opposite side to the heater is showing the exact same temperature. There are only two negatives about this thank, neither of which would stop me from purchasing this tank though. Firstly, if you keep tropical fish in the tank then you'll end up with a lot of condensation gathering on the inside of the tank hood. This is unavoidable but when you lift the hood on the tank up it causes a large amount of water to fall down the back of the tank which could drip down the wires and get into the electricity socket. So remember to have a "Drip Loop" on your wiring and a towel at the ready when lifting the lid. (There is a smaller flap for feeding the fish though, so don't worry, you won't need to do this every time you put food in the tank.) Secondly, the tank would be better if it had three lights rather than two. The tank looks great with the two lights it has but I like to have a moonlight blue light on in the evening as my tank is in my bedroom. This looks best with just one light on rather than two as otherwise it is too bright. Due to there only being two light sockets, I have to unscrew one of the hot lamps with a towel manually and change it for the blue lamp. If the tank had three lamp sockets I could just simply turn off the two daytime bulbs and flick on the moonlight one. Having said that though, this has been a great purchase and I would 100% recommend it.

This is an attractive and functional tank. The hinged lid makes maintenance and water changes easier and there is also a plastic inner cover to protect the lights from condensation. It is very easy to clean to curved front as there are less corners for the algae and dirt to get lodged in. The included filter is of good quality and is extremely quiet (almost silent when the optional bubble function is turned off). The lighting is effective and the blue night light is very pretty. Although I am not using this tank for a tropical aquarium, the included heater is the same as the one I use in my tropical tank which is also a very effective piece of equipment, and is discreet. Overall I am very happy with this purchase. The tank is excellent value for money if you are looking for a basic set up for a small aquarium. The only problem I had was with the courier company (Yodel). Firstly the driver dropped the package marked fragile into my building before complaining about the weight of the box! Luckily the tank itself was ok but one of the light bulbs was badly smashed inside the tank. This meant I had to spend a lot of time making sure all of the tiny fragments were gone before setting up the tank. As always, Amazon were wonderful in solving this problem and gave me a partial discount which more than covered a replacement bulb.

Mine arrived today. Meant to be an Amazon Prime Saturday delivery, but decided to come on Monday instead. I was a bit worried with the state of the packing, but everything looks OK so far. It also seems very good value. I haven't set it up yet, as I'm still undecided whether to go for the stand (even though they say there is no warranty without it), as it's useless for stashing an external filter in. And on that subject: I'm assuming the small hatch in the front of the lid is for fish feeding, but what is the hatch on the right at the rear of the lid ? It's shaped internally into a rectangle. Perhaps an external filter pipe I/O ? After having it for a while now, I'm completely sold on it. It's really good value for money. OK, I had to buy the stand, but it's very cheap on here and looks great with the tank on top. It's also OK for putting an external filter in as long as you're not bothered about losing the shelf. The condensation cover is good, as are the two 18 watt daylight lamps provided along with a spare. The heater is also well thought out and easy to use. I ran the supplied internal filter for a week, and it was fine. Very quiet, but not as quiet as the TetraTec EX700 external I replaced it with, but it will be a good spare. Overall it's a great tank for the money. Once I was used to the bow front all was good. Buy it now !

Looks really stylish. Arrived as informed, was a bit hesitant about opening box due to other reviews but was double boxed and no sign of any damage so that was first relief. Around aquarium was a couple of straps to help remove from box made life so much easier. No signs of any damage or scratches to the aquarium. Filter that comes with is a bit noisy but when got background noise and you get used to it you cant hear it. With the heater you have to set one or two degrees hotter than stated to get required temperature. Access to the lights are easy though alot of people have said the bulbs dont last long so will make amendments to review if they go relatively soon, being able to switch one of at a time is a good idea should you not want both on though they do give a good output and makes the tank appear alot bigger. Only other thing to suggest is to get self another thermometer to put down down each side of aquarium so can maintain that temperature is regulated and no cold spots appear. So far so good would recommend to others who are looking for an aquarium of 120l capacity and want one on a decent budget with everything you need with it.

The delivery was quick. However when I opened the box and tried to set up, I found the lamps were smashed inside the compartment during tansport. Requested Amazon for a replacement and arrived second day. Again I found the lamps were almost damaged again, Both tubes of the lamp were loose from its head. This is really the manufacture's fault. Due to the way the lamp is installed, it is very easy to break without any protection. The lamp should either be packaged separately or protected properly if installed.

Quality of the tank is very good, it is well made and looks pretty good. The tank comes with a Interpet PF3 filter which is too noisy to use and needed to be replaced after a couple of days as it just wasn't bearable. The filter could be heard vibrating in the tank throughout the whole house to the point it was impossible to watch TV in the same room and kept the whole house awake at night. The tank has a cheap internal plastic cover which is too flimsy for the job. It needs to be thicker and will be the next thing I will need to replace. I emailed Interpet customer service about the filter but it is a web only service and response times up to 5 days. So far I haven't heard back from them so I have resorted to buying a new filter and kind of given up on them. So if you buy factor in that it is a good quality tank but the filter is likely to need replacing with a quieter one fairly early on (£30). It is worth googl'ing "Interpet pf3 filter noisy" to get an idea of the extent of the issue. There are better deals out there especially once you add a new filter to the price of the tank so I do feel a little robbed. The set-up is fairly complete - for a 120L I just purchased 16kg of gravel, a glass cleaner, a net, some more tap safe liquid and a cheap test kit. I waited 7 days for the tank to cycle before gradually adding plants and fish. Update: both bulbs have failed after 6 weeks of use for 10 hours per day. I'm hoping I was just unlucky. They started to dim to about 60% brightness after about 4 weeks. Update: Third bulb stopped working after just 2 days. Update: Changed rating from 2 stars down to 1 star due to problems with filter being too noisy, bulbs not lasting, poor lighting, flimsy cover, and now the heater is leaking after 6 weeks. In summary - an expensive option as, if you have the same as my experience, you'll need to buy a new filter (£30), new heater (£20), New lights or lots of bulbs(£60)!!

the tank was delivered today by yodel and i have to say it was a fantastic delivery service :) driver brought it all the way into my living room, thanks yodel. came in excellent condition,a lot of people have said yodel haven't been that great, but I must disagree as twice I have had items delivered from yodel and they both have been in perfect condition, so I say speak as you find. I haven't set it up yet because i've also ordered the stand to go with it, and that's due for Monday delivery so i shall update this review then, but i've seen this tank and for the money its fantastic value, good quality and the thing i love about it, is that its all set up with the lid already installed on hinges :) my last tank i had problems trying to make the long bulb stay in place but with this new fish tank its just pure eye candy and i would recommend the stand as well that's also on offer for £65 a bargain, and thay both complement each other, also there are a lot of accessories that come with this and also a tropical upgrade kit, i bought a 50 litre tank 5 years ago and that cost me over £300 for just the tank and lid, thats without all the plants and filter etc. so this is a great buy you should jump at it, this offer wont be here for long. very pleased with this purchase, you go Amazon and interpet another great buy, this item is an ideal buy if your looking to upgrade from a 40/50 litre tank, thanks once again amazon for such a great buy, just cant wait to get the stand to set it all up........mark, wales

As the title of the review suggests I'm very pleased with my purchase of the Interpet Fish Pod 48l. I've only had it just over a week and today added my first inhabitants who are happily getting used to their new home. For a first aquarium (or in my case a quarantine aquarium) its the perfect package as it includes everything you'll need to get your aquarium up and running straight out of the box (except for substrate). It was very easy to set up with good instructions included, taking less than an hour to be up and running, it was then just a case of getting the water conditioned to a level acceptable for the fish. There is a water conditioning additive included along with another additive to promote the growth of the helpful bacteria in the filter unit. Having read the other reviews I was concerned that it may be damaged in delivery, however I'm glad to say mine turned up fully intact with everything well packaged, so it may be that Amazon have changed couriers recently. Mine came from Home Delivery Network. If I had to raise one negative point on the aquarium, and it is only a minor one, its that the condensation that collects in the hood of the tank has a habit of dripping down the back of the tank when you lift the hood to access the tank. There are obviously things you can do to remedy this, but thought I'd raise it just in case it would be a factor in your decision to buy or not. Personally I think its only a small fault that is far outweighed by the quality of the product, and for the £75 I paid I'd happily recommend it to anyone looking for an all in one aquarium package. If you were to buy all the components individually I'm sure you'd pay at least double!

Dieses Aquarium ist ein absoluter Hingucker ! Die englischen Stecker waren schnell ausgetauscht, man kann natürlich auch Adapter verwenden( wegen der Garantie ) ! DieTechnik funktioniert tadellos! Allerdings ist die Pumpe bei voller Leistung doch ein bischen geräuschvoll ! Wir haben ein Weilchen rumexperimentiert, um das richtige Maß zu finden ! Leider war die Beschreibung wenig hilfreich, weil Alles komplett auf englisch ! Unser Aquarium läuft jetzt eine Woche ohne Probleme und wir ernten nur Komplimente !!! Die Lieferung erfolgte eine Woche vor Liefertermin ! Wir sind rundum zufrieden !

Bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Aquarium, es sieht wirklich gut aus. Alle Komponenten funktionieren und passen gut zusammen. Es hat eine gute Höhe, so dass man reichlich Bodengrund einbringen kann was sehr gut für die Wasserqualität ist. Anleitung ist ja leider auf englisch, aber ich bin trotzdem gut klar gekommen. Man sollte sich sowieso Zeit nehmen bei der Einrichtung, macht aber auch Spaß Für die Stecker habe ich bei Amazon ziemlich günstig Adapter gefunden. Ich kann dieses Becken empfehlen.

Bonjour, bien reçu cet aquarium, super bien emballé, super pour le prix, avec le chauffage, l'éclairage, le filtre, des produits..., parfait pour mes trois poissons rouges qui commençaient à être trop à l'étroit. MAIS ATTENTION, les prises sont anglaises! Du coup, heureusement, j'avais un adaptateur chez moi! J'ai pu au moins mettre en route le filtre en attendant d'acheter une multi-prise anglaise car changer les prises, c'est pas mon truc. Donc prévoir le surcoût. A savoir aussi que la notice est en anglais.
