JUST MIXER Audio/DJ Mixer - Battery/USB Powered Portable Pocket Audio Mixer w/ 3 Stereo Channels (3.5mm) Plus On/Off Switch (Orange)

As someone who struggles to “switch off” my work brain, I often like to play video games on my PC while listening to a podcast or music on my tablet. This lets me mix both into one set of headphones perfectly. I can even add in a phone (with the headphone mic split out - you can find the right cables on this site) so I can chat with my family as well, all with the game/music sounds completely isolated from the mic. Fantastic, works well and affordable.

I've had experience as a sound engineer at a theatre, and consider myself somewhat of an audiophile, so please consider how these biases might affect my review. I bought the Just Mixer to mix various audio inputs at my workstation to a single pair of headphones, for example listening to a podcast while playing a video game. It has all the features I wanted, and I found the battery backup convenient for my purposes. The sound quality is generally good, and I haven't heard any significant distortion. However, some noise issues have come up in the few months since I bought the mixer: If there is an audio cable connected to the mixer with no audio device, it will pick up a lot of noise if the channel is left at audible volume. If an audio device such as a mobile phone is connected to a power source and not running on batteries, more often than not (though not for every device) 50Hz noise is picked up. Some audio devices have poorly designed sound hardware: in my particular case, an audio device was picking up a lot of noise --on battery and AC power-- whenever sound was not playing on the device. I also have some minor issues which I consider to be subjective: The power-on LED is bright and annoying. I needed to cover it with gaffer tape. The power setting slider switch is unlabelled: I added my own labels for Battery and USB power. This switch is occasionally tricky to use as the power off setting is in the middle. I would prefer it to be at either end of the slider as finding the middle position is occasionally difficult. The Just Mixer is generally good for mixing a few inputs for casual use and switching between them however, I would not trust it for any serious recording due to these noise issues. I am able to work around the noise in my personal use, and I am very satisfied with the mixer particularly considering the price. If you buy it however, know that you will need to fiddle with the levels, be very careful, and have a bit of luck.

Bought this device because I wanted to mix audio from a dedicated microphone and party chat from my Xbox one S. This meant I had two 3.5mm jack inputs and needed one output to my Hauppauge rocket video capture unit. At first I didn't think it was going to work as the audio was disjointed and 'broken' but after I had turned the Gain right down on both channels and tweaked the volume - it was perfect. Now I can record game clips with my friends included and record to a basic laptop without having to buy a £400 PC to combine all the inputs. Very pleased !! ** UPDATE ** After 12 months the product has begun to 'crackle' during my recording session's which has resulted in a few hours of lost footage. The cause is unknown but can happen at any time and last for a minute to twenty minutes. This has rendered the little mixer unusable as I can't trust it anymore. It was good for what it was but seems to have a limited life, such a shame.

This is really bad. I wasn’t expecting much but I was at least expecting it to ‘just mix’ to a competent level. I tinker with synthesisers and wanted something simple that I can use away from my main desk for when I just fancy playing on the sofa. This seemed ideal due to size and battery power. Well, first up the batteries don’t really sit tightly in the device so a jolt or squeeze means they lose contact and it turns off. Next, when using batteries loud noises gain clicks and hiss. So that function is useless. Onwards, I used a power bank which removes that issue but being able to use it for longer I quickly realised that it picks up loads of interference. From my phone and presumably WiFi or a passing bumblebee. It feels so light I was worried it would ascend into the sky and I can’t imagine it would be very durable. Sending this back and getting a Mackie mix 5 to complement my mix12. It has to be powered from the wall sure, but then this was useless with batteries anyway so not a big loss. Plus it’s less money and built way better. I can’t think of a use for this unless you like your audio to sound bad.

Original review: For years I've been looking for a decent mixer for my multiple PC setup. I've had several, either suffering from short battery life or 50Hz noise from power supply - this running off USB from computer is great - not getting any noise issues. Only trivial issue - the blue power LED is so bright I have had to places two layers of snippets of postit notes over it... Update 4 years later: I've blown it - I think I've just been pushing it too hard, I was running it on the edge of the "OVER" light being on all the time and I think, after 4 years just too much. But f... it, this baby has done the job for 4 years, so I'm good with that. Growing symptom was "clipped bass" (not a professional, but what it sounded like). So now, buy another one and really use it only as a mixer and buy a headphone amp (I like it loud because I'm deaf because I like it loud) or move to another product - dunno, time for searching...

Overrall it's not bad from a build perspective, however mine is incredibly noisy at times, I've never managed to eliminate this issue completely, even after using several different cables for both power and 3.5mm audio. Edit - given this another star as I found that the source of the noise was my crappy dell monitor!

Handled my iPhone OK, couldn't handle any other input. 0 Headroom, tons of distortion. Really disappointing. This is the second mixer I've bought from this company, and the second one I'm returning. A real shame, as it's otherwise well designed. I just wished it worked properly.

La confezione ha un design gradevole, il mixer è più piccolo di quanto mi immaginavo e ciò ne agevola la portabilità a mio parere, nella confezione c'è anche una borsetta di bassa qualità ma utile per il trasporto, il suono è ottimo e il mixer funziona esattamente come nella descrizione. I connettori sono tutti dei jack 3.5mm, il connettore di alimentazione 5V è micro-usb, questo ultimo dato non è riportato da nessuna parte.

Compact, easy set up and good sound. Can run off mains (via USB cable - not provided). Some ringing when you attach plugs but once you start playing there is no interference. Have not tested on battery (2xAAA provided) so cannot comment.

Ich habe lange nach einem Tool wie diesem gesucht. Meine Hauptwendung ist folgende: Elektrische Gitarre in einen kleinen Modellerweiterung und Nutzung eines iPads als Zuspieler für Backing Tracks. Natürlich könnte man alles mit dem iPad erschlagen , Jedoch muss man dann zwischen Programmen wechseln und die Einstellung der Lautstärke Balance zwischen den Tools ist einfach zu aufwändig. Mit diesem kleinen Mixer hat man alles an Bord, vor allen Dingen direkt mit kleinen Buchsen ausgestattet, wie sie bei den Verwendeten Geräten nun einmal üblich sind. Besonders genial: der Ausgang ist gleichzeitig für Verstärker wie für Kopfhörer geeignet. Alles ist in Stereo gehalten. Sowohl im Batteriebetrieb als auch am Netzteil arbeitet das Gerät rauschfrei. Die Fader arbeiten reibungslos und haben einen für die Anwendung ausreichenden Regel Weg. Das ganze Gerät macht, obwohl aus Plastik, einen stabilen Eindruck. Ein besonderer Pluspunkt: für die Eingangskanäle sind jeweils Gain Regler Vorhanden. Alles in allem ein universaler kleiner Mixer mit guter Sound Qualität, den ich nur empfehlen kann. Was noch fehlt, ist ein USB Ein- und Ausgang, dann hätte man das perfekte Teil.

This is a great mixer . Give good signal boost. I'm using it with my OFKP microphone and to my hotone British Invasion amp to my Bose sound link mini speaker .Makes a nice mini sound system that can all run on batteries. Use two 9 volts in series on the hotone , and a 5.4 v round lithium ion backup battery. This mixer brings it all together.
