JETech Case for iPad mini 4, Smart Cover with Auto Sleep/Wake (Black)

Unlike Apple's current offerings, this covers the back of the iPad Mini 4 from accidental scratches _while_ having an integrated screen cover. The two part apple equivalent costs well over £50. This was a stunning £9.95. Mine is dark grey, it could be an uninteresting colour, but the shade and texture ensures it looks sharp, no nonsense. Considering the quality, I'd expect the many other colours will look really good too. The fit is as good as you could hope for, actually, it's better than you should hope for, once you take the price into consideration. All ports and buttons are easily accessible, auto-sleep/wake works well, triggering the audible "click" sound effect from the iPad just as the screen cover lands. Nice. See my photo to see how good the fit is around the buttons. The cover's magnet is inside, along the long edge of the screen cover and attaches to the other long side (by the soft hinge). So you get the "toblerone" shape to prop up the iPad into the typing or viewing angles, or to use as a grip. This case is readily worth the price I paid, and I could buy a fleet of the other colour cases for the price of apple's equivalent. A bargain, and as long as "your" colour is available, this case is a must buy. ** I have now bought my second case (the fire engine red). My 1st case finally bit the dust after one drop too many. The original case served my iPad valiantly and took the damage from each fall. While i wasn't being clumsy, the slim case provided great grip while i was walking around & continued the iPad mini's pocketable convenience. This case is still an easy recommend (hence me buying this replacement) and is happily continue buying one of these per year before I'd consider buying the Apple solution.

Fits very well. Back is a sort of clip on plastic. I was expecting same material front and back. However apple logo on the back so it does look quite smart (especially compared with my old one with peeling surface.)

I don't see the point in leaving immediate reviews for products that wear over time so I've left it 8 months to see how this case stood up to daily use. I've been using this case since December 2016 and it's fantastic. It's still going strong now without any signs of giving up. I've never dropped it so couldn't say how it would protect my iPad mini in a fall but lets just say I feel in safe hands. The rubberized feel of the rear of the case instills confidence when using it on the do, the front also has a similar kind of feel. There is no cracking to the rear of the case and the hinge for the front flap isn't showing any signs of wear. The folding stand feels sturdy when in use and sits the iPad at the perfect viewing angle when sat at a table. The hinges of the front flap also have plenty of give in them and don't feel stiff at all like some other cases I've used. One of the main plus point for me though is it doesn't really make the iPad feel too big, it's a lovely slim fitting case Overall I'm extremely happy with case and feel it's fantastic value for money over the original.

A good Saturday case bought to replace the old which we have had for a few years. Simple product that does the job, can’t ask for more

My old, retired iPad Mini 2 had Apple Smart Case that felt like an okay investment, but with iPad Mini 4 Apple made the mistake to go an extra mile of greed by separating case and cover to maximize profit. Naturally, I had to turn to Chinese knockoff cases. I bought the Grey color which I think best complements a Space Grey Apple product. PRO: * The case is ~9 times cheaper than Apple Silicon Case + Apple Smart Cover for iPad Mini 4. * The magnet for the Smart Cover auto-sleep functionality is strong enough to keep the cover glued to the device if you turn it face down. The Smart Cover is solid enough and doesn't detaches when rolled as a stand. CON: * While it fits perfectly, it requires serious effort to remove and there's risk you could damage your device. * The rubbery material feels cheap and unpleasant to touch. It is almost exact opposite of Apple's Smart Case (for iPad Mini 2) which had a warm, leathery feel to it. The inside of the smart cover is textile texture but very rough compared to Apple's much softer texture. You will get used to it, but you won't love it one bit. * The hinge between the case and the cover is inch too thick, making the cover imperfectly align with the back of the device. If you turn the cover on the back of the device and hold the device in portrait with both hands, the cover will stick into your right palm. Again, you will get used to it, but you won't love it one bit. SUMMARY: * It's a great, solid throwaway case for iPad Mini 4. If you stain it, if you tear it, you'll not feel a drop of remorse. You'll only feel annoyed you'll have to struggle 5 minutes to remove it.

Very nice feel in hand with vibrant red color on both side of the magnetic cover, does not look or feel cheap. Magnet has adequate strength and the auto lock/unlock works as expected. PC (polycarbonate) and the red tint should resist yellowing way better than typical clear TPU cases, hopefully it will hold up long term.

Seit mehreren Jahren schon habe ich nun immer wieder Hüllen von JETech für meine iPads (iPad Air 2, iPad mini 2 und iPad mini 4) im Einsatz und bin von Anfang an nie enttäuscht worden, denn hier bekommt man zu einem sehr vernünftigen Preis eine sehr schicke wie auch durable und nochdazu auf die Funktionen des iPads vollkommen abgestimmte Schutzhülle, die keine Wünsche offen läßt! Verarbeitungsqualität ist absolut top - passgenauer geht es nicht mehr und die Farbauswahl ist auch toll. Da ich ein Poweruser bin was mein iPad anbelangt, kann es schon mal sein, daß ich nach ein bis eineinhalb Jahren meine Hülle wechsle, denn es läßt sich nicht vermeiden, daß einem da das iPad das eine oder andere Mal wo dranstößt oder auch herunterfällt. Gerade hier zeigt sich dieses Case auch vollkommen souverän. Alle Merkmale gelten natürlich unabhängig von der Farbe. Ich hatte mal eine Zeit lang zum Vergleich ein 6 mal so teures original Applecase und war recht bald sehr enttäuscht davon, da es nach einem halben Jahr schon so angespeckt war was sich auch nicht mehr wegreinigen ließ, wobei ich anmerken muss, daß ich mit meinen Sachen wirklich pfleglich umgehe. Für dieses Geld kann man sich 6 Jahre lang jedes Jahr ein neues Case von JETech holen sofern man der Farbe überdrüssig wäre oder auf Grund von Schutzeffekten eine neue Hülle von Nöten sein sollte. Wie gesagt, dieses Case läßt sich toll und einfach reinigen und schmutzt auch so gut wie gar nicht an. Ein echter Handschmeichler, der hinsichtlich aller Koordinaten dem original Applependant souverän Paroli bietet. Absolute Kaufempfehlung!
