Organ pedal notes at last
I am using KEF Reference 3 speakers (fitted with the long ports) which themselves have well-extended bass response and a total lack of boxy or honking colorations - and I speak as a past owner of Quad ESL 57s. However, my listening room is small and there is limited choice of speaker location, and although I get excellent imaging I have always felt the speakers weren't pulling their weight in the bass department. I was attracted to the SVS SB2000 subwoofer because of its reasonable price and excellent reviews: definitely worth a try, even though I rather expected problems with integration and, in the small room, disappointing extension. Because the KEFs are level down to at worst 50 Hz, I set the subwoofer cut-off frequency to that, its lowest setting. I placed the unit in one corner of the room, where it would have the best chance. I was pleased to find that at no time is there evidence of the presence of the subwoofer in the sense of sounds coming from that place in the room, and on programme material with normal bass content, such as most classical music, the subwoofer can be switched in and out without any perceptible change to the sound. But as soon as something out of the ordinary arrives in the music, it's there, and goes way below the 32 Hz (16 foot pedal C) that I'd hoped to reach. I had a lot of fun playing the opening 10 minutes of the otherwise dreadful movie Transformers, but the most breathtaking example I've come across is the Decca/Montreal/Dutoit recording of Respighi's Pines of Rome, fourth movement. Halfway through the movement I had always been conscious of something bassy happening, perhaps a bass drum being played softly. With the subwoofer, suddenly the room filled with a gorgeous felt-rather-than-heard organ pedal note that I had no idea would be there. During normal listening I am conscious of the subwoofer only occasionally, and always in sense of hearing something agreeable and knowing that the main speakers on their own probably aren't responsible. Apart from that, the subwoofer is just an anonymous black box in the corner.

Excellent Sub for home theatre
Very good price, very quick delivery. Replaced my old 200w ported 8inch subwoofer. Didnโt want to go 12inch ported as they were generally too big for a โwife friendlyโ placement. I am not disappointed! Wow very powerful and low enough to feel. Great for my medium sized living room and only set to 30% on the gain.

The lowest bass i have ever heard.
Great sub!!!Amazing bass!!! I had a choice dali E 12For svs sb 2000. Dali goes down to 28hz and has 170 watt while svs has 500 watt of sheer power and goes down to 19hz. Great for music and movies.

Quality and guaranteed upgrade.
If your after a Sub look no further, agreed certainly not the cheapes but you do get what you pay for. I have paired this with a Canton Sound Base and this has taken the sound quality with the deep base to another level coupled with a five year warranty with postage paid both ways. If you were a complete anorak and wanted to upgrade at a later date SVS will part exchange the speaker for what you originally paid against the new speaker you are buying.

I will admit to being an SVS Subwoofer junkie with this being the 4th one in my house (out of 8 total.) This is a crowded market with many options, many of which are good to great. SVS are specialists in the subwoofer game and provide a solid value for products that are best in class. Having Dual PC12 Plus and an SB-12 NSD this SB-2000 fits in the middle of this range. Comparing it to the SB-12 NSB (Which is a fantastic sub as well) for two channel audio with my B & W In Wall 7.4, it was apparent right away that the 2000 has more power in the same sized package which results in a punchier and quicker, more responsive feel. Immediately I was hooked. Note, I did have Soundpath Isolation Feet on the NSD and moved them to the 2000. I then moved the 2000 in to my home theater where I watched Lone Survivor. I added it as a third sub replacement for what as been a Klipsch R-12SWi. This is a solid sub that I have always found a bit boomy and has never been my favorite. I noticed a definite difference in precision and thump you feel in your chest vs. boom. And this is with placement in the rear left corner as you can see in the photo. It's a beautiful compliment to my two SVS PC12 Plus. I watched the 20 minutes of Lone Survivor again with most of the gunfire and helicopter as the only sub running. Although the placement was not optimal it was again, an excellent performer. Lastly, I paired it with the SVS Prime Wireless Speakers and compared it to the SB 12 NSD. Sonically, the 2000 is just subtly more refined a bit more powerful and than the NSD, but you can tell they are both SVS subs. The 2000 is just a bit taller than the NSD and you can see that in my second photo of this review. In summary: -The 2000 is way better than the Klipsch R-12SWi in a smaller package. -Probably 25%-30% better than the SVS 12 NSD (Which was originally priced just $20 less than the 2000.) -Not even in the same ballpark as good as the SVS PC12 Plus, but they are totally different Subs with different form factors (The 12 Plus is a tall Cylinder.)

I have Onkyo SKS HT870 was not super impressed. Upgraded to SVS SB-2000 now system sounds way better. I had to crossover other speakers to 120hz they are only 3.5 drivers. Went and listened to KEP LS50 was thinking to upgrade the fronts, but after hearing them Iโm thinking of buying another SB-2000. Update. Amp started making buzzing noise. Send a video to SVS support and they mailed me a new amp no problem. I had to install the new amp, I rather do that than try to mail a sub to SVS. Customer support was friendly and fast. Buy the way I did buy the second sub!

This is a perfect solution from every point of view: perfect size, sound, price, brand. Bass - tight punchy bass. One would love every beat coming out of this beautiful peace of tech. This is perfect for a decent sized room 15 by 15 feet
