Excellent - and you can extend with a harness with seat belt attachment (when away from traffic)
Excellent lead - and you can use a harness with a dog seat belt attachment for even more length, when you are away from traffic Version bought: flexi Giant Professional L Tape 10 m black/ neon yellow [10 meter version] This is an excellent durable lead, though the "flexi Giant Professional L Tape 10 meter" is rather large and heavy at 890 grams on my scales. If that doesn't put you off, then for a dog which cannot be let off a lead, like mine could not, then walks in the countryside, woods or in a park with this 10 meter lead and a harness attached to a dog seat belt attachment - giving a total length of about 11 meters (and a more comfortable experience than a collar connection) - might be the closest thing to true freedom that your dog can feel. Given that the "L Tape 10 m" lead is quite large, heavy and expensive, particularly at or near its full price, I would imagine that the less expensive 8 meter versions - "Medium" or "L Tape 8 m" depending on whether the dog is under 25kg or under 50kg - together with the harness and dog seat belt attachment, should also offer a very good experience, and are no more expensive than many other 8 meter leads when on offer. Some of those other 8 meter leads might seem like better value for money, but often don't perform as well or last nearly as long, so are actually a false economy compared to these flexi leads. (The "Extra Large" 8 meter lead for dogs up to 75kg is also quite expensive, but so might it's competitors be for that weight category.) But this 10 meter one really would be my choice for offering ultimate freedom for dogs up to 50kg, especially if it's on offer and you don't mind the size and weight. For me personally, it might have felt like a hit in the pocket when I clicked on the "Buy" button, but it was sooo worth it - as I think that my dog experienced years of extra freedom from that additional 2 meters of length, long after I'd forgotton about that one-time expense. I found this lead to be strong, sturdy and easy to operate, with an intuitive and reliable locking/unlocking mechanism. It was easily able to manage being pulled on by my 25kg-30kg dog for years of use. A couple more points: I would not recommend using an extendable lead like this with a harness and seat belt attachment if you are going to be walking along the street or near traffic - as that extra meter or so is non-retractable and your dog could dart out unexpectedly. (The beach might also be more awkward if there are many other dogs around and not much space.) You can, of course, attach it to your dog's collar for those occasions. However, I'd recommend getting another shorter lead, such as a 5 meter extendable lead, for shorter walks where the intention isn't to exercise your dog, given that this lead (the 10 meter version) is somewhat large and heavy. Personally, I can highly recommend the Cool Bud "smartelf Retractable Dog Leash Heavy Duty Walking Lead for Small Medium Large Dogs Up to 110lbs" [50kg] here on Amazon, as these two - along with a sturdy short chain-link lead - were my leads and I was very happy with all of them.

Highly recommend
This lead is brilliant, I would highly recommend! It's really sturdy, I have a 30kg dog who pulls on the lead and this has been great. I find this more comfortable to hold than other brands, it feels safe and unlikely to be pulled from my grip. The neon yellow line has been chew resistant and allows the line to be seen easily. The material of the handle is rubber and the locking mechanism is robust and hasn't slipped like other brands do. If your looking for a new easy to use and reliable lead I would highly recommend!!

Strong lead
A well-made lead that is long enough to give the dog plenty of room to wander. Good locking mechanism and responsive retraction. Feels like it should be sturdy enough for the most enthusiastic tugger.

Great purchase.
I wanted to use this lead for at least a month before leaving a review. Purchased the L lead for a small dog (circa 8kg tweenie Dachshund). Several reasons. My pooch is just pure muscle and pulls like a dog 10x his size. He's reactive on the lead so I want full, quick control of him via the lead. I wanted to purchase a strong, reliable lead. The L was over £10 cheaper than the M lead. I read a lot of negative reviews about this lead (I always read negative first) but I'm not seeing any of the problems others have experienced. This is just my opinion and experience. Firstly, the design of the lead is very comfortable to hold, by your side, not in front per se like most leads. My first gripe would be that the handle could have been made with some soft grip added. It's comfortable, but in the rain it's less 'grippy' due to the all in one moulded handle. Second. The listing says the lead is 200g. I thought that sounded light, and other reviewers have said the lead was heavier than expected. They are correct. The weight is close to 700g. This is not a problem for me, and my missus quickly got used to the weight; however, be aware if you feel the weight could be a problem. The positives. The 8M length is great, if the 10M length was cheaper I would have purchased that, but this lead was less than half the price. My pooch loves the extra freedom from his previous lead in our local field. My previous lead had neon tape like this lead. I wanted to purchase neon tape again as it's very clear to other people (cyclists/joggers/fellow dog walkers) that my dog is on a lead. The tape seems very strong, my pooch will run off at breakneck speed and get to the full extent of the lead in seconds. It has been jolted countless times and no issues. The tape has been dragged along concrete fence posts, wire fencing - you name it, it has been subject to it. No signs of fraying. My pooch doesn't chew the lead so unfortunately I can't really advise on that. But i guess if your dog does chew, I'd probably say an anti-chew extender is advisable. My pooch would probably chew through the tape with relative ease. The tape also remains extremely clean considering the amount of mud it has been through etc. I'm actually very impressed. The leads locking mechanism is simple, quick, strong and efficient. A much needed requirement for my pooch. I would be very confident in it with a larger dog for sure. The only niggle, and nothing worthy of docking a star is that if you have locked and your dog is pulling, but you wish to release again, you need to give some slack. It will remain locked whilst the dog is pulling. This is both good, and a little annoying, but nothing a quick twitch of the wrist doesn't sort. In an ideal world I wish this lead had a brake function but its just locked/unlocked so if my pooch is reacting/bolting he's quite often surprised by the immediate lock I apply. The lead extends and retracts very quickly. I don't think any owner of any breed will have an issue. Beware of the retract though! My missus unleashed the pooch at around 3M (not thinking), let go and the lead retracted at breakneck speed and the clasp hit me in the hand. Left one hell of a bruise! The anti-tangle is very effective. My pooch bounces around like a gazelle, wraps himself around trees, bushes, fence posts. Everything. Not one single tangle yet. The only tangle we've had was me playing with the lead upon opening and somehow I immediately tangled it lol. It doesn't mention this in the listing but the retraction mechanism is guaranteed/warranty for 2yrs from purchase by the manufacturer. That's a massive bonus as I've not had a retractable lead last more than 6months yet. Lastly. Amazon (Rufus?) will tell you this lead is compatible with the multi-box for treats/poop bags. It's definitely not which is a shame. All in all I think this is a great lead and worth the money. You're paying for quality and reliability. There could be a few better features but it has many positive features - you can't have everything! If you're thinking about buying, hopefully the above helps.

A Game-Changer for Walkies
This lead has made walking our more impestuous dog much more enjoyable for us and him and I will start by saying how much I recommend this product, after using it for about a month. We have benefitted from the extender because our boy (we have two, full-male rough collies) has never been very good on the lead, especially in unfamilar areas. Roughs are a willfull breed but he is especially so, and he's large and strong for a collie. His recall is fairly good but not 100% reliable. Being a very friendly dog he would often run to greet other dogs in the distance if off-lead, a trait that was not always appreciated by others in spite if his good temprement. When on the lead he used to pull, randomly change direction (the worst aspects of the issues by far), refuse to walk and while I could cope with his strength, my wife would, at times, struggle. Having tried various tactics that have worked well with our other dogs, we decided to try the extender as nothing else seemed to reliably work. With the new extender, we can easily deploy additional lead so he can walk ahead, explore his immediate surrounds, or stop for a sniff. The pulling and lead jerking has almost completely stopped as he clearly feels less restricted and he can roam more freely and interact with other people and dogs while still in control. He is less anxious when on the lead. Our other dog is happier to no longer be herded up and quickly learned to stay out of range if his pal is being too playful. He seems happy to stay close to us as long as he has a but more freedom. The tension on the lead is perfect. Even at full extension, in very windy weather, it will retract in time even if he was running straight back towards us at full speed. Our dog adapted to his new lead very quickly and now recignises the little clicks it makes when you engage the brake. The brake is thumb-operated and easy to use, instantly locking the clutch to prevent further ectension of the ribbon (yellow in colour and about 10mm wide. The brake can be locked by pushing a catch just forward of the brake-button, so you can maintain a set length without pressing constantly. The lead has never tangled, got stuck or knotted. The build quality is excellent. The extender is easy to operate once you get used to the simple controls. The extending lead is 8m on our version, which is a very good length and allows our dog to explore his surroundings while keeping him close. We have used the lead in busy pedestrian areas, near string distractions, and in open areas e.g., park, beach etc. We havd a second dog but he does not need an extender due to being a Good Boy at all times. You need to be aware that if your dog is running at full-speed away from you, once the 8m ribbon is fully deployed, they will come to an abrupt halt. To avoid injury to your dog, a comfortable collar (we useca Martingale type) is essential. In addition, using the brake intermittently to prevent your arm and dog's neck being jerked is good practice. However, your dog will soon learn the limits of their freedom. The yellww ribbon could do with being available in green and red to indicate friendly, nervous, or very nervous or reactive dogs. The size if the lead is large and somewhat heavy. This should not pose a problem for most users but you should be aware. If you have arthritis or similar, you may find it hard to operate and it's design means you rely entirely on your grip and cannot wrap the lead around your arm. You should avoid trying to grab the ribbon of the lead. It is thin enough to be very hard to grip especially if travelling outwards and in ungloved hands could cause rope-burn. Alway unlock the brake to avoid slack in the ribbon as this may result in it tangling in your dogs legs. You should be mindful if others when extending the lead to avoid them being wrapped-up Maypole-style. This lead was a gamechanger for us and walkies are much more enjoyable. I highly recommend it.

Good strong lead.!!
Great lead. Despite many people thinking retractable leads are the work of the devil, my opinion is they are great if used sensibly. Gives the dog a good amount of freedom of movement, but you still have some control over them. I would only use this lead in relatively quiet open spaces, not for walking in the street. Tape is better than a thin cord. Less chance of friction burns. I always use a safety wrist strap with this lead, so that if the lead was suddenly yanked out of your hand (if dog chases squirrel for instance), you do not drop the lead and lose control of the dog. This lead is robust, and does the job well. Also I use a couple of bungee extensions in addition to the Flexi lead. they are much better to grab if you need close control of the dog. Grabbing the tape itself should be avoided. In an ideal world dogs would not be on leads, but we don't live in in an ideal world. For me this lead is as good as you are going to get in terms of a compromise between freedom and control. I like the neon colour of the tape as it can be seen from some distance by other dog walkers.

Worth it
Perfect for the dog, nice thick clip so you dont need to worry about it breaking like the thinner ones. Perfect length and easily keeping in control when on walk whilst giving freedom to roam, definetly worth the money. It is a bit heavy but you know what can accept that for good quality

Best lead we have had so far!
Ultimate Adventurer's Long-Line Dog Lead for Active Dogs After six months of daily use with my energetic Cocker Spaniel, I can confidently say the extra long Dog Lead is worth every penny. I was initially hesitant about due to the price point, but this lead has outlasted every other option I've tried over the years. The standout feature is obviously the extended 30-foot length, which strikes the perfect balance between freedom and control. My dog can explore naturally while I maintain command when needed. For recall training in open spaces, it's been invaluable—allowing him to roam while I can reel him in if distractions come about. Durability is where it gets top marks. It has withstood muddy trails, beach outings, and countless dragging incidents across rough terrain. The material is thick enough to prevent cutting into hands even when my dog suddenly lunges, yet it remains lightweight and easy to handle. The swivel clip deserves special mention—it's heavy-duty and hasn't shown a hint of rust despite regular water exposure. No more tangled messes when my dog circles trees or posts! Except when he went through a large hole in the bottom of a hedge a few weeks ago and got it all tangled up in the branches. Comfort features include the handle that remains comfortable during extended walks. The adjustable length mechanism locks securely at various points, allowing versatility based on location and training needs. Maintenance is straightforward—despite frequent muddying, it dries quickly without fraying or color loss. One small criticism: the lead can be somewhat bulky when fully retracted for storage, but the included handle is comfortable and I don’t even think about it when I walk our dog now. For dog owners seeking a balance between freedom and safety, especially those with high-energy breeds requiring extra exercise space, this long-line lead is absolutely essential. It's transformed our outdoor experiences and has become my most recommended piece of dog equipment.

Great tape, excellent value
Really happy with this tape. It feels solid and well made, locks in nicely and the standout is easy to read. The neon colour makes it quick to spot in the toolbox or on site, which is a bonus. For the price it’s excellent value and does exactly what you want it to do. It feels tough enough that you shouldn’t need to replace it anytime soon.

Recomendada. Robusta y resistente
