Cheap, cheerful and does what it's supposed to.
I bought this because I already owned three Vox amPLug amps--Lead, Clean and Bass--and I was tired of having to play through headphones all the time. First off: this thing is IMO really too small to be effective as a bass speaker. I was using a Squier VI, which admittedly already has less low-end than a regular bass, but it came out of the tiny speaker as sounding unacceptably plinky and weak. It's a matter of physics: there's just no way a 3" speaker cone can give you decent bass tone. That said, as a practice amp speaker for guitar, it works fine. It was even unexpectedly loud. I was using a heavily modified Squier Strat with Seymour Duncan SSL-1s in the neck and middle positions and an SSL-4 in the bridge; a lightly modified Fender Tele; and an Epiphone Les Paul 60s Standard, and all three guitars sounded like good (if shrunk-down) versions of themselves. It can also take pedals: I was using a Boss SY-1 Synth pedal, and the result was fine. So, while I disagree that this works with a bass, if you're putting a guitar through it it does the job, and it looks so funny with the tiny Vox amp plugged into the top. I practice through it all the time, and I'd use it in a situation where a.) major volume wasn't required and b.) low-fi/experimental was acceptable.

Works well for the limits it has in size
Works well with Amplug amp connected to the Cab, it is OK to hear what you are playing with out using earphones. The sound is good for the size but it is of course is limited by small size. I just use it as I can keep it around and just pick up my guitar and play with no trouble as I connect with a wireless system with out using a cable from guitar. It is possible to connect an Aux to the Aux input on the Amplug when connected to the Cab and play with a backing track and it does it OK. The Amplug 2 AP2 -Cab!! does not have a Aux in for this if you use the Amplug with it as the Amplug takes up the Aux in on the Cab.

Much better than expected
I was not expecting a lot from this mini 2 watt cabinet but dislike using headphones and wanted to be able to practice without disturbing others and this seemed a good idea, although it turned out to be a great idea. It is quiet and you would struggle using it in a noisy room but that is not what it was intended for and the sound is good enough to enjoy playing. It was tested with the Vox Bass Amplug and the first thing i noticed was there was no hiss or any other noise even at high gain, which is important as at medium and low gain it really is quiet. The tone was surprisingly good for something this small, obviously not on a par with a genuine bass amp and cabinet but good enough. After putting a clean signal through it I tried a few stomp boxes and again there was no hiss or noise plus the effects sounds came through well and this little creature would be good enough to compose on. Stomps like the Boss Harmonist, Way Huge Echo-Puss came through at about the same volume of the dry signal but there was a little more volume available using the Boss Bass Synth and a quite big volume increase with the Way Huge Conquistador Fuzzstortion, enough that the speaker struggled if maxed out but was fine up to about 80%. It will be interesting to try other basses and guitars with it, for this review i used a Rickenbacker 4003 and having seen a couple of negative reviews online there was the thought it may not perform so well with a lower quality guitar. Finally, I have been impressed enough with this little thing to order a second to see what the Rickenbacker stereo sound is like with them.

Lovely complimenting speaker cab for the amplug 2. lacks overall volume and bass, but if you want to deafen yourself, use the headphones. A bit of speaker distortion at higher volumes, but reproduces the amplugs output very well considering it's diminutive size.

Cheap and nasty
I was not expecting much, but it failed to a achieve my low expectations. Feels cheap and light weight and often fell over with weight of guitar cable. Sounded terrible, buzzy, crackly and would give up if the volume was turned up... I returned.

small but great
The sound quality is very nice considering the size of the speaker. You can take it anywhere and play whenever you want.

Mini amplificatore per chitarra
Funziona bene, utile per fare pratica ovunque, in combinata con l'amplug ac30 fa anche un bell'effetto visivo

Unimpressed
The speaker peaks way to early. It is unusable unless set at low volumes.

Perfect for what it’s intended for!
After using my AP2-AC30 with my headphones for several months, I was on the fence about spending the money on this little cabinet. I’m am so thankful I did! I spent two weeks confined to a hotel room for COVID quarantine and I can’t imagine not having this little setup. There were some negative reviews regarding the sound quality, but I had nothing but excellent tone come from this little speaker. It replicated the tone that I had in my headphones perfectly. I’m sure at peak volume, the sound quality may dive off a little, but in a hotel room, I’m not playing more than 3 or 4 at most anyway. I have nothing but great things to say about this little amp. It comes with a 9v battery, but does not come with an AC adapter.
