Genuine Sophie la girafe teether and comes with certificate of authenticity. My little girl likes it so far but its a bit big for her at the moment (4m old). She can just about chew on the ears. Feels good quality and robust however. I was unsure if I should get one initially as they are quite expensive for a teething toy but several other mums had recommended one. Seems easy to clean and cute design for babies.

It's fabulous! The toy was super-fast delivered (in fact it arrived 2 days earlier than expected) just on my baby's 3-month "birthday" - she aboslutely loved it and grasped it easily no sooner we gave it to her. It was about a week or two before that our baby started to grasp on anything that would come close to her hands and try putting it into her mouth, and so when I saw Sophie la Giraffe on amazon (I had not known the toy before) I thought it could be a very good idea to get it for her - and so it proved to be: Sophie is just perfect for a small baby's hand exercises - the long neck and legs can be easily grasped even by a tiny hand and the many curves and protruding cheeks, nose and ears fit perfect into a baby's mouth (our baby especially loves sucking on Sophie's nose). I think it also stimulates pretty well the developement of hand control- after a couple of days out little was easily passing the toy from one hand to the other, turning it around etc. The quality of the toy is really good and considering how it is made it is really good value. The material is very soft and very nice in touch, is very elastic and looks durable, and the very delicate smell is of natural rubber. Do keep in mind that the toy is made in France and not in one of the many low-cost factories in China as most of the toys nowdays and part of the production is completed manually (each giraffe is finished: polished and painted individually by hand), and so though the price might seem a bit high for a rubber toy, it still offers a great price-quality relation in my opinion. I hope it will work well as well as a teething toy when the time comes! Sophie is so nice, I really would not want to change it for another one!

My tip is, if your baby hasn't settled on any particular teether, then give this one a go. He's our experience... We tried every teether and soother imaginable - subconsciously they were always Tesco or Asda ones for under £5. Nothing worked but an acquaintance recommended Sophie the Giraffe and while a little dubious spending £12 on a teether we gave it a go. We bought this when he was 7 months old as he was becoming more and more frustrated in part because he had a penchant for chewing on SOFT toys - a somewhat unsatisfactory task. What we noticed was he loved it pretty immediately. It's a great 'chew down teether' with lots of crevices and angles and various firmness regions to help satisfy and help calm your little one down when the teething motions become too much. I wouldn't read too much into the 'whole 5 senses' nonsense, but as a baby with huge hands, we do think it helped improve his finger dexterity. We don't go anywhere without this teether\toy. Our little one is now 9 months old and he still has no teeth (eek!), this has been such a relief. Please wish us luck that it happens soon! By the way, as you can see from the product's images, the 'gift box' is nothing but just packaging, so don't expect anything else! Update at 10 months: He's Teething! He's Teething!

Ich habe mich nach langen hin und her entschieden diese Giraffe zu bestellen trotz des nicht sehr günstigen Preises den sie hat. Da im Bekannten und Freundeskreis so viele Babys diese Giraffe hatten und sie so dermaßen angepriesen wurde musste ich es natürlich austesten. Also erstens, Transport mit Prime wie immer 1A. Zum Produkt selber, tja eine Giraffe aus Kautschuk die qietscht wenn man sie drückt. Klingt sehr normal und nicht besonders aber ganz ehrlich die Kinder lieben sie wirklich. Meine Tochter hat zwar erst vor zwei Wochen angefangen sich mit ihr zu beschäftigen aber sie liebt sie. Es wird gedrückt, gehalten, gekaut, geleckt, geschmissen :-) Sophie hält alles aus. Der Preis ist zwar hoch für so ein Spielzeug aber trotzdem ich empfehle sie weiter.

My granddaughter loves Sophie. She is teething right now and fiercely biting everything poor thing. And Sophie with its soft rubber body provides a lot of support for the baby. :)))
