AMAZING 5*.
Last year my cat started overgrooming and acting skittish. She had awful large bald patches up her legs and on her tummy. After multiple and expensive trips to the vets they recommended this product, I ordered this with the diffuser. I was dubious due to the mixed reviews however Within two weeks her hair started to grow back and she looked glossy and healthy again. A year later the same thing happened and I bypassed the vets and ordered another collar and plug in and its worked instantly again. My cat is calm and her coat is shiny and healthy and she now sleeps anywhere when she used to hide under the bed. The collar has a white powder with lots of excess when you open it which makes a mess so its best to do this outside or over a bin. This is the only negative I found. I would defiantly recommend trying this product, it may not work for all cats due to the reviews however the price is excellent and it may save you a lot in vet bills and prevent unwanted behaviour in your cat. I wish I had known about it before a trip to the vets! before!

Not the fault of the collar!!!
This is probably a very good product. It smells delicious and certainly calms me! However, the cat upon whom it is fastened is a complete psycho. Unpredictable doesn't cover it so the fact that she still suddenly savages me and causes me blood poisoning is no reflection on the collar.

Works Wonders!
Can't recommend this enough. We're on our second of these collars, changing them after a month. We put the first one on start of July and are just coming to the end of the second, we'll replace it at the start of September. The improvements are amazing to see. It is a slow process and for the first month you may not notice anything but stick it out, it will make a difference it just takes time. We have two cats, a very friendly male and a skittish and moody female. Our female cat does not like strangers, any noise and will hiss loudly and hit the male cat on the head every time she walks past him even if he was just minding his own business. Now she sits next to him no problems and can walk past him without paying him any attention. She is more affectionate towards us and I wake up almost every morning with both of them sitting on top of me, next to each other! Which is a miracle! We still get the occasional hiss and you can tell the male cat is still wary of the female one because he's used to her lashing out so I will keep up with the collars and update this in future. Ideally I would have a collar for each of them but the price is too much for that! The powder does come off when you are using it for the first time but as explained in the instructions this is supposed to happen. I like the smell of the collars as well!

NOT A SAFE BREAKAWAY COLLAR!!!
THIS COLLAR IS NOT SAFE TO BE LEFT ON YOUR CAT UNATTENDED!!! I used this collar in conjunction with Feliway Friends diffuser when one of my cats was becoming very stressed by another. Both cats calmed down and the cat wearing the collar stopped showing any signs of stress and went back to his usual calm, happy self. HOWEVER, the collar is meant to have a safe, breakaway clasp. It doesn't. The collar is thick plastic and it has to be woven through the clasp. The clasp itself is also plastic and not thin enough to break should the cat be in danger by getting the collar caught on something or in its own mouth. It is therefore NOT SAFE when the cat is unattended or should the cat go outside. I ended up putting the collar on so loosely that it would easily slip over my cat's head. I could do this because he's quiet and doesn't tend to mess with his collars. However, I bought two of these and planned to use the second collar for another of my cats. But she is much more feisty and is likely to get it caught. I won't use the second collar. I recommend using diffusers instead.

The pheromones work, but the collar does not
I wish I had taken the advice of the reviewers who said that the powder/pheromones come right off and make a mess, and that the clasp on the collar doesn't work well. I have a new rescue cat who is very shy and who I had to take to the vet so I thought this would be a good idea regardless of the many bad reviews. However the collar is coated in a white powder which contains the pheromones, and this came off in huge chunks immediately, getting everywhere and leaving nothing left on the collar. The collar was also very hard to get on as the clasp doesn't work well, which really upset the cat. I thought I would make the best of the situation by sprinkling the powder around my home which I hoped would have a calming effect--well it sure did. My cat got 30 days' worth of what should be a slow-release pheromone treatment in one day -- she seems like she has just come out of anaesthesia. She is not "calm", she is tranquilized. I feel guilty for having done this to her. I think the idea is good but the execution of this product doesn't work well. I have had flea collars before which were similar--plastic collar with a powder containing the flea treatment--that worked well, but for some reason the powder on this thing just doesn't stick to the collar right. If I were to ever try this idea again I would get a small amount of Feliway spray and put it on a fabric collar. I just hope that this doesn't last long so my cat can have her personality back!

Rather expensive but it seems to be working. The cat used to attack our other cats on sight, but, after nearly two weeks, is showing signs of calming down, watching rather than attacking. We are using it in combination with Royal Canin Calm biscuits and rewarding with Webbox stix when he behaves well. We have ordered a second collar for next month. Unfortunate that we have to buy singly or we would get caught for customs duty, and don't know if would still be cheaper to buy triple pack.

My fluffy lady cat has never worn a collar, ever, she is strictly indoor and has never once gotten outside but is microchipped. At first I wasn't sure if it was actually the pheromones that she was reacting to or if she just wanted the darn collar off! We noticed changes almost instantly! Fluffy lady cat is just shy of 2, she was a rescue, we welcomed her into our home when she was around 4 months old after she spent the first few months of her life in the office of an animal rescue facility. One would think she'd be well socialized but as it turns out she was poorly socialized having been in an office of working people while the "socializers" were in a special socializing room. When we brought fluffy lady home she was tiny and sweet but didn't want to be held or picked up, she wasn't very social but she also wasn't feral, angry or aggressive. To this day fluffy lady is a tad on the anti social side, I say it's the girl in her, she is my first female cat and I've never thought of female cats as overly loving or even loving because I have yet to meet one that is anything like the loving boys I've had. She does have her moments, of course on HER time and when she's had enough (maybe 2 or 3 pets from head to tail) she's on her merry way. Being so fluffy and pretty our family just wants to love her, that includes scooping her up and snuggling with her, she really doesn't appreciate any of that and if we need to pick her up for a nail clipping she can be dodgy and run and hide for hours. I liked the idea of the pheremone "therapy" as I call it. I needed something that would stay with her to ensure it really worked and this was the ticket! Fluffy lady became more lovey dovey, purred more, snuggled more and general was much more approachable and stuck around longer even choosing to lay on a spare pillow next to my head at night. The collar is purple and came with a white coating on it that "activates" the pheremones, I wish it didn't activate so well because I felt by the time I actually got the collar on her that it would stop working and be peremone-less! Alas, it worked and it worked well. Miss fluff is so fluffy you can't even tell she has it on. She's not bothered by it at all and since it's a break-away (it doesn't have the metal clip that pokes into the 'locking' holes) I feel comfortable with her going to her hidey places and not worrying that she'll get stuck and strangle herself or get hurt. I've noticed as we've hit the 30th day that she's slowlyregressing a bit and going into her shell again. This saddens me because it means that we either have to rely upon a purchase every month or just accept her as she is and love her from afar and hope that as she ages and matures that she comes out of her shell some more. I was hoping this collar would stretch further beyond the 30 days from a financial aspect as I have another cat I feel could benefit from this collar as well (he has high anxiety) however the reason I chose fluff to wear this was due to her skiddishness as well as her naughty habit of peeing outside of the litter box. Since she is well I attribute it to anxiety and being a sassy fluffy baby. My high anxiety cat has a case of stranger danger but he's very loving and will snuggle all day long, purrs and has no behavioural problems that need to be addressed. I wish that this came in a different form and as odd as it sounds I wish it was a spray form. Not in a plug in, but as in a "perfume" something you could spray directly on the cat even on a daily basis to keep your cat calm and help them be the best companion they can be. Yes, I would totally put cat perfume on my fluff every day if it meant that it helped soothe and relax her, I shall become the crazy cat lady and that's perfectly fine by me. The calming collar did work for our fluff and I'll probably be ordering another one shortly, I hope to one day no longer need this that she out grows this or calms with age.

I was a bit hesitant about this product never having tried anything like this before. Our cat had been experiencing some behavioral difficulties, possibly due to both myself and my significant other being out of the house often at work and both of us being anxious/high energy individuals. He began marking here and there, howling in the middle of the night, and generally behaving strangely and appearing to be in distress quite often. While I find the price slightly steep, I can't fairly compare the value to anything else as it's the only product of its kind that we have tried so far. We placed the collar on him, and within an hour he generally seemed much calmer and the symptoms all but disappeared. What can I say, it worked for us - and far more effectively than I had thought. We intend to purchase another one of these in the future, and besides that it does smell very good. Our cat actually enjoys wearing it, which is also surprising. He's been wearing it for a few weeks now and his overall state has improved dramatically. We coupled this with a pheromone diffuser and the results speak for themselves. No more marking, no distress, just a calm house cat that likes to sleep and play and seems to not be bothered by wearing the collar at all. As a test, we removed the collar for a few days and did notice a marked uptick in general anxious behavior, put it back on him and once again he chilled out. To us this is a confirmation of the products effectiveness, although the diffuser also likely contributes significantly to the result. Product is as described, simple packaging and a very simple design. Easy enough to put on and adjust, but you may want to be careful adjusting it as there is no actual locking mechanism on it, it stays in place due to the friction of the overlap of the band through the small plastic buckle. The buckle doesn't appear particularly tough, but in our case it doesn't need to be as our cat remains inside and doesn't scratch at it or attempt to remove it from himself. If you put it on too loose, it may come off or become caught on something as your cat explores or fits through tight spaces, too tight and it may choke your cat in certain positions (while cleaning himself, for example), but this is normal with all pet collars - just use common sense. We usually use a thumb or index finger in-between his neck and the collar as a rule for how much slack to leave him, and this works great so far, no issues. I can recommend it, it's worth a try. Every cat is different though, there's no guarantee this will work as each animal responds differently to things. In our case, it works extremely well in combination with a pheromone diffuser.
