Thumbs Up UK Book Safe, English Dictionary Style

I am very pleased with the quality of this product. The safe is sturdy and provides a secure and unnoticable hiding place for small items e.g keys, cash, credit cards. The design is fantastic as it looks exactly like a standard dictionary you might see in any home. Place it amongst the rest of your books and feel secure in the knowledge that your valuables well hidden. I would definately recommend this to others.

So recently I have become a little security concious and have started investing in little things such as this to make me feel that little bit safer. I'd considered getting a proper safe but I thought it might be a little obvious to any would-be burglars where I am storing my valuables. I love reading and have lots of books so I decided this book-safe would be perfect for a few small items with high sentimental value. This book safe is great in a sense that it looks realistic enough to someone who doesn't know it is there and is also boring enough not to attract attention. It arrived quickly and was well packaged without any damage to the box. It comes with two small keys and a fairly decent amount of spoace to store some small sized objects. I placed a few items inside and locked the safe. When locked, it feels secure enough to dissuade the casual person looking to go through your stuff but probably not gonna stop a determined thief. Also, while it does look pretty convincing, it is not a perfect disguise. With the right surroundings though (as shown in my photo), it should be convincing enough. It's also pretty low cost and easy to set up. In all, a good product for the slightly paranoid.

The book safe does its job pretty well. There is plenty of room inside to hide money, credit cards, small documents or other items of value which you don't want to leave lying around. I did find though that it is necessary to leave space around the lock as sometimes the box contents can get in the way preventing the inner lid from closing properly even though the lock engages under the lip of the box. This in turn allows the lid to be lifted slightly and small items could be removed. The safe does hide quite well on a shelf of similar books but it does not stand up to close scrutiny if left on its own as the fake pages are quite obviously plastic. The lock itself is not the cheapest they could have used. It requires a double-bitted key (one with teeth on both sides) and this makes it harder for lock-picking than most cheaper locks. Whilst this item will not stand up to serious attempts to open it - such as with a sledgehammer - it will deter the average snooper quite readily and will keep your minor valuables relatively secure until you find the need to upgrade to a proper safe. I love this secret safe! It blends in so well with the rest of the books on the shelf! At first, I thought it would be obvious to anyone that it's not a real book but once it was among the other reference books, there's no telling! It's handy to have somewhere for cash savings without everyone else in the house knowing where to find it! It's quite fun to use as it makes you feel like you're in an old spy movie with your hollowed out book!

I would recommend this product to all. I have put it amongst my books and it does not look out of place. It's really secure because it has a lockable inner box. The box is big enough to hold cash, cards, passport. The price is reasonable and delivery was quite quick.

Used a food can safe in the past, this was OK but after a few openings/closures the lid became loose & the can looked dated. This book safe is well made & robust, having it's own lock & key. It looks the part too, blending in well in our book case, I would definitely recommend this item.

Briliiant! Does exactly what it says on the tin. The quality of the outer 'book cover' is very good and when looking at it in the bookshelf or on a table it looks very real. The actual safe inside is fairly good quality too; like a typical normal safe you'd buy from argos or whsmith (could be slightly thicker metal, but the current metal does not affect the product's aesthetics or purpose).

Se confunde en mi biblioteca con el resto de libros. Pasa por un diccionario de inglés y aunque no es muy grande me llega de sobra, por desgracia :), para guardar los ahorros en casa libres de comisiones. Trae dos llaves para poder cerrar la tapa interna con mayor seguridad aunque yo no lo hago. Como digo la tengo entre decenas de libros y no parece una hucha.

J'ai acheté ce produit suite à la réception d'un autre "Livre coffre fort" cassé d'un autre vendeur. J'ai voulu changer de vendeur suite à cette histoire. Le produit est conforme aux images, il a la taille d'un vrai dictionnaire. Il peut remarquer qu'il s'agit d'un livre factice au touché ou si on voit les pages. En effet, les pages sont un bloc en plastique comme on peut le voir sur les photos. Contrairement à celui de l'autre vendeur, ce coffre se ferme à clé et non avec un code. Bref, le produit à l'air toute fois un peu fragile, mais il fait son travail pour cacher des objets. J'espère que ce commentaire vous aura aidé dans votre choix. I really like this book safe. The "pages" obviously don't look real, but since the book is on my bookshelf and they are pointed towards the back, no one can see them. It's a good size and blends in nicely with the rest of things on my shelf.

Wie bescheidene

Ordinato di sabato, spedito la domenica e arrivato lunedì mattina... Amazon non si smentisce mai quanto a serietà ed efficienza! Veniamo all'oggetto... Abbastanza piccolo come dimensioni, nelle foto sembra più grande. Non ha pagine vere come altri prodotti simili, ma è anche vero che costa sensibilmente di meno. È comunque un oggetto di buona fattura, solido e svolge alla perfezione il suo compito. Non lo consiglierei certo per riporvi gioielli o altri preziosi, ma per riporre i contanti che si tengono in casa, qualche tessera o documento importante, senz'altro si. Ed è proprio per questa funzione che l'ho acquistato. La cassettina di sicurezza è abbastanza profonda, tale da contenere senza problemi contanti, documenti ecc. Se poi guardate le foto che ho postato, direi che il mimetismo è perfetto. In una libreria, in mezzo ad altri libri e magari posizionato in alto, in modo tale che si veda soltanto la costa esterna del dizionario e non la parte superiore, dove le pagine sono finte benché molto ben fatte, direi che è praticamente impossibile da percepire come nascondiglio. Mi sento di consigliarlo senza ombra di dubbio!
