USE RECCOMENDATIONS:

Hi, Liquid Hoof Dressing: is a 100% natural formula made from vegetable oils and fresh bay leaves which release their substances after maceration. As such it has no expiry date and will keep its properties indefinitely. For best results follow these guidelines.
Apply the product with a brush directly on the outside of the foot, the sole and the frog.
Care on healthy hooves: 2 applications per week.
Before a competition: 1 application (for beauty and aesthetics).
In dry weather: 4 to 5 applications each week.

Hi Geoff, thanks for your interest in Kevin Bacon's Liquid Hoof Solution. Absolutely, both the ointment and liquid hoof dressings are intended to treat the whole hoof - hoof, frog and sole.
For normal use, apply twice weekly to each foot. If you experience exceptionally dry conditions, that should be increased to 4/5 times weekly.
However, if you are specifically concerned about the condition of the frog and sole, say due to wet conditions or prolonged stabling, then the product to use is Kevin Bacon's Hoof Solution, which is a specially formulated product for protection of the frog and sole.
A combination of the two will help keep your horse's feet in tip-top condition.
