Does the the "masterclass non-stick 2 lb loaf tin, 23 x 13 cm (9" x 5")" work as well for loaf cakes or is it just for bread baking?

It's not specifically for bread alone. It should be considered a baking tin for baking anything. It's a quality product, cheaper versions are available but this one is worth the money.

Am I being unreasonable to ask the heght? after all it is important when proofing dough if you don't want a mess.

Depth/height is 7cm or just under 3inches

Im new to baking and a man. I want to limit what i get so can i use this for homemade bread and things like pesnut butter oat cakes? Flapjacks? Thanks

The tin is great for bread & some cakes. For flapjacks & brownies and stuff you cut into squares or fingers 20cm square tin. Oat cakes, shortbread, biscuits etc a baking tray. I'd recommend getting some silicone liners they're approx £1.50 each, washable and reusable and can be cut to fit the tins. Have fun and keep safe.
