is this a fake lego? my 6 year old said "buy only if it's real"

It's probably some kind of fake; I'm no Lego expert, but my 9 year old son is pretty up on these things and was thrilled to get this for his birthday. I was worried, but it looks real...and, for what it's worth, it survived the washing machine with no discernible damage to gold finish or anything. So no definitive answer, but your discerning 6 y-o might be missing out on a cool minifig.

Retired fig from retired expensive set it also includes the dragon blade weapon which comes from another retired set. Factor in cost to ship (5.00) fees to Amazon to sell this (15%) And you can see why it is priced accordingly.
