As a beginner, I am very happy with this instrument. It is easy to put together – as it is together – you just have to insert the included mouthpiece. I foolishly figured the trumpet would be easy for me to play. Isn’t that always the way when good players make it look so easy? It took me a short time to get used to vibrating the lips – but the toughest part is the airflow - how to blow the air without being forceful – and no puffing up of cheeks and all. Plus – because this requires steady blows – it can take a bit out of you after a while. At least it did me – maybe I have to get into better shape. : ) Have to practice breathing and blowing exercises to truly get up to snuff. Those that teach the instrument say you need to just blow into the mouthpiece all by itself for at least 5 minutes a day to exercise and actually be able to play. Maybe it you are a runner or singer or something with excellent lungs and breathing techniques – it might be easier for you to pick up and play. Overall – this is a great instrument to me and is fun too. I have always been fascinated with musical intruments all my life. Specially, wind ones. But...growing up I could only afford a plastic soprano flute. When I came across this trumpet, the first thing that came to my mind was a street performance of a guy playing a Spanish version of "My Way" and my imagination just went wild! I wish one day I can perform that piece even if I do not learn anything else. So, with the help of some videos, I have been able to at least get a few notes so far (my only experience at the attempt of playing a trumpet is two half-hour sessions with this trumpet). I give all thumbs up to this versatile instrument that is so beginners friendly. The trumpet is priced affordably, obviously great for beginners and comes in a nice carrying case. Includes a mouth piece, cleaning rag, and gloves. It is very light and in the right hands may sound much better. I can not rate the sound quality in an objective manner because I am not a seasoned trumpet player, but I managed to make some noise that do not sound bad for a first time player.

This is the first trumpet I have ever used and ordered. I am not very familiar with the instrument but I wanted something I can start learning with. I have followed some online instruction and the sound/performance from this trumpet is comparable to that of the lessons, so assume the trumpet functions as it is supposed to. The instrument is beautiful! It comes with a nice, lightweight case that protects the trumpet. Overall I think it is great for any beginner, child or adult.

The 3 valve broke after the first use. While the trumpet itself seemed fine, this kind of immediate defect is absurd and unacceptable at any price point. Buyer beware.

I'm happy with this trumpet! It is playable and the sound quality isn't bad at all, especially considering the price! The fact that this also comes with a case is such a great deal. This would be an awesome beginner/starter trumpet if you or your child are looking to try out the trumpet but don't want a huge financial investment. I'm honestly very impressed with what I got for the price, and I definitely recommend!
