Brilliant. No smells coming from kitchen sink

I bought a blue pack and an orange pack at the same time from this supplier. The blue was shipped in a paper bag with another item purchased but the sticks were mostly broken. The orange was shipped in a box with another item purchased and the sticks were all intact. I've not used the orange sticks before so hoping they hold together better, but the blue ones I have used before and halfway through the year deteriorated in the pack and broke so not sure if it's their texture that doesn't hold together well or the delivery packaging on this occasion. However, that being said, the products are good and the fact they are broken doesn't take away their effect so I will continue to buy and use these. I would recommend these.

These drain sticks are brilliant for keeping drains clear without any effort. I use these once a month in the kitchen and bathroom drains so one pack lasts six months, making these good value for money. I just pop a stick down the drain hole and they stay clear and drain quickly every time.

These came shattered into dozens of pieces and opening the packaging made them crumble completely. I put what seemed to be the equivalent of a single stick down the plughole and if anything, it now smells worse than before. So my advice would be, don't bother. Just get yourself a bottle of Zoflora and chuck some of that down from time to time.

Short review: avoid buying, they make no difference. Long review: I bought these in good faith as I hate using really strong chemicals and think that the harshness of most cleaning chemicals is unnecessary. I don’t even use antibacterial wipes etc as it’s all so unnecessary. In our new flat we noted that the drains in the kitchen and bathroom got blocked quite easily and drained slowly and we found ourselves using drain unblocked every two months. I bought these hoping that they would help stop the slow drains and mean we wouldn’t need to use such evil chemicals. Sadly they made no difference at all and one day I came home to find the washing machine had flooded the kitchen because the drain had blocked. I don’t revcomend these at all. I’m hoping method comes up with something similar but better soon. Enzymes to prevent blockages are a great idea. But these don’t work on hair or fat or food or anything 😞

I'm just buying my second packet of these for use in the shower. I find that they help to get rid of trapped hair and keep the trap completely clear, but they can't work miracles. You can't shove them into an existing blockage, or expect them to cope alone with masses of long hair going down every day. I use a drain protector as well, but because the plug hole in my shower is flush with the base of the shower tray, the protector (which is flat), can't stop all hairs. Hairs used to eventually build up in the trap and cause a smelly blockage. Since using these sticks, there is no build-up. If our shower had a recessed plug hole, like in most baths, I would fit one of the recessed plug hole protectors which would stop almost all of the hairs. Then a kettle of boiling water every couple of weeks would get rid of any smell, and hopefully any slight build up. Don't do that if you use these these sticks though, I suspect that boiling water wouldn't do them any good. For me, they are a great solution. Make sure you store them in a dry place after opening, because they eventually attract moisture and go soft, tending to break up a little when you get them out of the packet.
