Excellent, sturdy lightweight mower.
Bought this to replace an elderly petrol Flymo, which was becoming more and more difficult to start. The TurboLite 330 is an ideal replacement mower for medium sized lawns, and being electric is obviously very easy to start! Its light weight means that it is very easy to manoeuvre and carry around. Works very well on sloping and uneven areas. Seems very sturdy and well made and the metal blade copes very well with all sorts of debris. Handle folds flat with the base so that it can be hung on the shed/garage wall, taking up very little space. Only minor niggle is that their are no hooks on the handle to wind the cable round.

Happy mower
Had one of these mowers for 15 years until we run it into the ground, & we didn't realise what an excellent tool it was until we bought a smaller cheaper version with the plastic blades, well we have struggled with the cheap one for 3 years until I blew it up last week trying to mow our 9inch thick moss lawn. Well now we are back with the tried & trusted Turbo lite 330, what a difference that metal blade makes & its motor is nice & powerful, I can't recommend this mower highly enough, it cuts through grass like butter & makes the job half as long & twice the pleasure, & if you mow regular there is no need for a grass box so this is perfect.

Flymo Turbo Lite 330 1150W Electric Hover Lawn Mower
This is the closest I found to replace my Qualcast Easi-Lite 30 mower in terms of size, weight, price. Unfortunately, it seems that the Easi-Lite 30 isn't available now. This mower is good, but not quite as good as the Qualcast for ease of use. It is smooth and cuts well, as long as you keep the grass short(As recommended in the instructions) But that would apply to other hover mowers of course. It's a little heavier than the Qualcast, so not quite as floaty, but it is still a light mower. The long lever switch is a little too flexible. You need to be careful when pulling it towards the handle as the end can tuck under it. It has what I think is a centrifugally released brake, therefore the motor runs up to speed slowly (But not too slowly) during start-up and which stops the blade quickly after the switch lever is released. Good for safety as it has a large metal blade. It's a good, light and smooth mower. It would have been nice to have a 'universal joint' type of arrangement as per the Easi-Lite, where handle attaches to the cover/shroud and the cover/shroud can swivel on the body for easier side to side mowing. You need to stop to clear clumps of grass from the skirt occasionally during mowing if you have more than a small lawn, or the grass is a bit too long. These clumps can quickly weigh it down. I imagine normal for hover mower use.Probably suitable for your typical lawn. I'm happy with it. It's easy to get into use and seems worth the money.

GREAT BUT I DON'T LIKE THE LIMITED ANGLE OF THE HANDLE
It arrived as a free delivery 2 days after being ordered, which made it as quick as any express delivery option that would incur additional costs. Assembly is a bit fiddly even for me, a black-belt in DIY assemblies, but is not too difficult to complete in the end ( just unnecessarily fiddly ). The multi lingual instruction manual is pretty naff as the fitting of the cutting height discs ( fitted behind the rotor blade on it's hub ) is only accounted for in the form of a couple of rudimentary sketches. But what I find quite odd is the limited angle of movement that the push-handle arms are able to make when correctly assembled ( only up to about 45 degrees to the horizontal ). If the handle assembly were allowed to have a movement through 80-90 degrees from the axis point I could store the mower on the floor of my shed more easily without having to loosen up and fold the handle's at the midway assembly points every time to reduce space. The hover mower's performance is extremely good though, with a 1150 watt motor in mine that can handle my relatively small lawn areas with consummate ease. So, I am not knocking the performance of this very effective hover mower, I just have reservations that are all to do with the restricted angle range of the handle assembly. Maybe it's to overcome a 'nelfunsafety' concern. Who knows.Eamonn

Easy to Handle, Cuts Well
Back in the nineties I had a simular machine which was well used for a good few yrars. Then went for the self propelled petrol machines. I still have petrol but very short on petrol at present time and not keen on getting more at present time so I went for this Flymo model. Delivery was Thursday and around 1:00 pm so got started withing half an hour. Very light to handle and does a very good job of cutting the grass short and can get into places where you would struggle with a big petrol machine. Tried all the height settings which are easilly added and removed and no grass box to empty. Very good price and a pleasure to work with.
