These helped my little rescue to calm a little to focus on training. Though they need a hammer to crush! Negative reviews are a little unfounded; these are not a miracle cure for behaviour problems but can relax the dog enough for training and helping the mindset change. As a trainer, I see people "drug" their dogs for issues that can be resolved by putting in some effort and learning. I used them on my vets recommendation for a few months, but he's not in need now, as he's learnt better ways and how to calm himself in a short time and used desensitise training to overcome fears. Often dogs are anxious due to not getting the right stimulation for their breed, so using these helped the dog feel calm enough to train right. Rescue dogs can benefit from this calming tablet (which is safer than anything you get from the conventional vet) during settling in, but it's not a be all/end all cure, if you don't work your dog.

I have a GSD x Collie so he’s on 4 vitamins a day and eats them like treats! If on a day he won’t eat them then I stuff them into a sausage, if they fall out he will eat them if my other dogs are around. They work after a few weeks but are in no way a miracle, I think my dog needs anxiety meds from the Vet. He was turned away from a very well known dog trainer in my area because of his anxiety so we are taking him somewhere else. We use a plug in for calming and these vitamins, I am running out of ideas tbh. Dogs are hard work but when you have two with anxiety it’s way harder! I will purchase again of course because I want to see how they work over a longer period of time. Edit 31st May: Well so far so good, my dog is starting to behave better and I am very happy with his progress.

I don’t often write reviews but hope this will be useful to someone in my situation. My rescue dog became highly reactive once I got him out the kennels. Like seriously and got worse. Lunging and barking and snarling at dogs even across the road. I tried many natural calming treats to no avail. I got a behaviourist in to help as I was at my wits end. He is a very anxious dog for many reasons so as it was coming up to firework night I plugged in some dap diffusers (also never worked in the past) and started to give the max dosage of these tablets. I didn’t hold out for much and after a couple of weeks I thought id just finish the bottle off and sack them off as with all the others. Then ….. something changed. After about a month we slowly started to notice he was more responsive to us on walks and would sit and focus on us rather than just losing it. It’s not a miracle cure, we are still using this in combination with his training but even my dog walker said she walked past dogs without him batting an eyelid. It doesn’t always work and he still loses it sometimes but he’s much more manageable and now calm enough to learn. We have lots of work to do to slowly close the distance on his threshold but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel where before i was thinking that medication was our last resort. I don’t know if it’s the dap or the tablets or the combination but I’m continuing to use them because SOMETHING has changed and I don’t want anyone to have to go through the stress we have without help. Some dogs are more responsive than others. But for his anxiety/ reactivity I have to say the have been a godsend! Be patient they took a few weeks but for me they work and I would recommend!

My Cavalier King Charles Spaniel has moderate separation anxiety and has been really struggling to do the exposure exercises we were given from the behaviourist but these vitamins have really helped to take the edge off! Pros: - Great value for money. - Works really quick. - Perfectly safe to give extra (especially around bonfire night)! Cons : - A bit smelly. - Half the size would be perfect for a small dog. Although these are a bit smelly, it's not a deal breaker and it would be really helpful these being half the size to give to our small dog so we can give one in the morning and one in the night but we managed by breaking them up. Will definitely continue to use and recommend to a friend! DISCLAIMER: certain herbal remedies will work for some dogs and not others so it is worth trying a few to see which your dog reacts best with.

I saw a link on a forum page and we were desperate so I bought a tub... Dorwest Herbs Scullcap and Valerian Tablets for Dogs and Cats 100 Tablets Everything else has failed to calm my Jack Russell dog in the car, even short trips were hell as he barked and barked cried and was unwell, so much we had stopped taking him out (he is 11 years old). I weighed the dog and gave him 1/2 the recommended dose, it appeared to work a little better than the pheromones sprays (which did just about nothing for him or the driver!) so it was un-tested really. OK panic time next week he was booked on a 5 hour ferry trip to Europe with us for the 1st time ever, then we were planning on a road trip in a new camper van around France with a dog that can't go to the end of the street in the car!(2 week holiday in hell was on my mind) e loading him in the vehicle and after some initial settling down and a few woofs he was fine, so fine he has now travelled 1500+ miles in a moving vehicle, the kids think he is now a fantastic beach dog even at 11 years old! He isn't stoned just calm and playful with his squeaky toys in the vehicle. If you have a dog that a total pain to have in the car and you have stopped taking them out as its hell on wheels, please try these pills as its totally changed my dog and enabled him to have fun with us rather than sit in the house alone... just the rattle of the pills draws his attention and grabbing the cars keys he knows he is in for a good day out with us all.

Don't waste your money. My previous two dogs were never affected by the fireworks season so seeing a dog begin to tremble and shake with fear every time a firework goes off is pretty new to me. The dog that I have now is just a couple of years old now. He reacted badly to bonfire night last year so this year I bought these tablets in good time before bonfire night hoping that the treatment would help him. We all know that its never just the one night in November, we had over a week of fireworks being let off where I live this year and my dog was in a very sorry state indeed. Its terrible feeling helpless when there's nothing that you can do for your dog, you just have to watch them suffer. These tablets did NOTHING whatsoever for my dog and at around £10 they are not exactly cheap. However the money has nothing to do with it as I would gladly pay treble that amount if they worked. You can give a human a placebo and sometimes get away with it but you cant kid an animal. I wrote to the seller and complained about this. Here is how he replied: "It is often trial and error with these products. Like all remedies there is never any guarantee of success " Now where does it say this in the sellers listing? Its like saying pay your money and take your chances as you would with Mr William Hill I cant see any difference. Steer well clear from such phoney concoctions and if you know of any useful remedies then please let me know.

So far so good. Bought these on the recommendation of my vet for my dog who was showing signs of anxiety at fireworks. They work within about 15 minutes and instead of shaking and trying to hide, she relaxes and just acts as normal. Have to hide them in cheese though .
