You should be specific
The product itself is good, but it's not for any other hair type apart from african/Jamaican hair type. Wouldn't recommend usage if you got thin hair

Works a treat
Great for thinning afro hair at the edges, I usually buy the Jamaican castor oil but stopped using due to the heaviness/stickiness. This hair food is thick, almost like shea butter in texture, but very smooth and quite light, it rubs in nicely to the scalp and feels soothing. I constantly have my hair in extensions and have a real problem with hair loss at the sides due to the tension from the weight of the plaits, but using this pomade for the past few weeks has made a difference. When I take out the plaits my hair feels softer with hair follicles at the edge that were previously receding growing back. Might be an idea to also use silk headscarves at night in conjunction with a dab of this hair food to protect your hair even more. Rubbing your hair against the cotton pillow cases as you sleep is so bad for your edges. If you use a lot of weaves/plaits then I would recommend investing in this to protect your crowning glory.

Very small for the price
Castor oil is good but the jar is considerably overpriced.

Don't be fooled by the Picture...Tiny Ting!
Disappointed with the size, and this is the thing about being in a Lockdown with Afro Caribbean hair shops being closed. Items that would be cheaper in price are sold online for a lot more.Jar is not big, is a tiny jar. Made mostly with Shea Butter. If the product works I will retract my comments, but paying nearly £10.00 for a product that may of cost £3.99 in the shop is concerning.

Good product
So far I'm loving the jamacian black castor oil hair food. I have 4c Afro hair, and I find that this product nourishes my hair, also a while back my hair had started to break off, when I came across this I decided to give it a try. My hair is already growing back thicker and longer thanks to this product. It has a natural smell to it, kind of reminds of pure Shea butter. I gave 4 stars because I recently found this product on another website for cheaper. I will be purchasing this product just not from Amazon
