A Must-Have for European Road Trips – The Ultimate Travel Kit for Safe and Legal Driving!
If you're planning a road trip across Europe, especially driving in France, this Kit is a must-have. I've recently used this for a driving tour through France, and it made my journey much smoother and stress-free. First Impressions: The kit arrives neatly packed in a compact, organized case, which makes it easy to store in your car. It contains all the essential items you need to comply with European road laws and to ensure your safety while driving abroad. The quality of the items feels premium, and you can tell that this is a kit designed with road safety and convenience in mind. What's Inside: The AA Euro Travel Kit includes everything you might need for driving in Europe, such as: Hi-Vis Vest: Required by law in many European countries, this vest is high-quality and easy to wear. Warning Triangle: A compact, foldable warning triangle that is also legally required if you break down or need to alert other drivers. Breathalyzer Kit: France, for example, requires drivers to have an alcohol breathalyser in the car. This kit includes one (though I’d recommend double-checking the regulations, as fines can be imposed for non-compliance). First Aid Kit: A small, yet complete first aid kit with bandages, plasters, and medical essentials. Headlamp Beam Deflectors: These are crucial if you're driving a UK vehicle with left-hand drive headlights, to avoid dazzling oncoming drivers. Spare Bulb Kit: Another great addition, as some European countries require you to carry spare bulbs for essential lights. Everything is easy to use, well-labelled, and fits neatly into the provided case, so you don’t have to worry about cramming everything into your car. The kit takes away the worry of missing any essential items, ensuring you're prepared for any roadside emergency or legal requirements. Ease of Use: I was impressed by how quickly I could access and use the items in the kit. The high-visibility vest and warning triangle were simple to set up in the event of a breakdown, and the breathalyzer gave me peace of mind. I never had to worry about not being in compliance with local laws. The compact nature of the kit meant that it didn’t take up unnecessary space in the car, leaving plenty of room for luggage and other travel essentials. Final Thoughts: The AA Euro Travel Kit AA6318 is a fantastic investment for anyone planning to drive through France or other European countries. It’s well-priced for the peace of mind it provides, knowing you have everything you need for both safety and legal compliance. Highly recommend it for anyone heading on a European road trip—it's a small investment for a worry-free driving experience.

Nearly everything you need
Let's be honest here: most people buy one of these kits to comply with the regulations rather than because they think they need one. I did too. This kit is more comprehensive than AA's France-specific kit as it has a bulb kit, a first-aid kit and the AA European Drivers Handbook. While most of the other items have limited use in the UK, the bulbs and the first-aid kit are both something you should keep in your car anyway and so they seem like a worthwhile addition. As far as I know, it is not a legal requirement in the UK to carry a warning triangle but many cars have them anyway. What's missing, though, is the NF approved breathalysers. However, these can be purchased separately for a few pounds. The kit comes in a handy and compact but not terribly high quality pouch. Mine had a slightly broken zipper which I was able to fix. The beam converters have a high-quality adhesive and are easy to apply on a wide variety of headlights. The GB plate is magnetic which is particularly handy for rental cars; if your numberplate has a GB logo, you won't need it. So far everything has held up fine. I have no reason to believe they would break in use but if they did, I'd be quite happy to buy another kit. These are emergency items and, to be perfectly frank, I'm not too worried about their durability. Even if you're only driving in France, I recommend skipping the AA France kit and buying this and a disposable, approved breathalyser or two. The extra accessories make this a useful kit to keep in your car, even when driving in the UK.

A Must-Have for Stress-Free European Road Trips
I recently used the AA Euro Travel Kit (AA6318) for a trip to France, and it’s definitely become one of my travel essentials for driving abroad. The zipped storage bag is surprisingly handy—it keeps everything neatly organised and easy to grab when needed. The kit includes all the mandatory items for driving in Europe, like the UK identifier, high-visibility vest, warning triangle, and beam deflectors, so I felt fully prepared and compliant with local regulations. I was a bit nervous about missing something important, but this kit covers everything. It really took the stress out of the process. What I love most is how compact and well-organised it is. I didn’t have to worry about finding space in the car, and I always knew exactly where everything was when I needed it. Having all the essentials in one place made the whole trip feel smoother and more relaxed. If you're planning a driving trip through Europe, I’d highly recommend this kit. It gave me peace of mind and ensured I was ready for anything, without having to worry about gathering all the required gear. It’s an easy way to stay compliant and stress-free.

Just the basics but you need more
This is no more than satisfactory. The kit does NOT include the breathalyser that is now a requirement for driving in France, and which cost us an additional £10+ at a service area near Dover, and the headlight deflectors also seem to come with poor adhesive, as ours had both come off in motorway driving before we got to Reims, forcing us to buy replacements in France at another 10 euros These replacements ones seemed to have much better adhesive as they stayed in place, in rainy and snowy conditions, for the remainder of our trip. So I would recommend that drivers always purchase an additional set of deflectors, just in case.
