Elite Pro Corded Men's Hair Clipper with Secure Fit Combs

Great quality as usual with Wahl products, I won’t use any other. I have had the corded version of these Elite Pro Clippers for many years and they have served me well. The reason for this purchase is that cordless will be useful when traveling away for a few weeks. These will keep my beard and Mohawk in good shape, I can’t say how long the charge will be yet because I’ve only just received them. When I have used them enough I will come back here and update this review. Perfect size and weight, these are not heavy at all and not very noisy like others on the market. All together an awesome set with everything you could need that should last you many years. The only problem that has nothing to do with the quality is ( the delivery guy handed me the unopened box that was buzzing ) Somehow the switch managed to get turned on and the blades were pretty hot. So I guess that hasn’t been long as the charge was not fully depleted. Maybe Wahl can look into the packaging so this doesn’t happen to anyone else, I hope my set will be ok.

Great value kit, bit of a clunky design but very durable and comfortable to use. It's wired so no need to worry about battery life but the cable can get in the way and could be longer.

Nice clippers. The on-and-off switch feels a bit uncomfortable, but it does the job—nice set and variety of guards. Important thing to note: If the current doesn't match the product specified current, the clipper acts up weird. In that case, there's a little screw on the side that increases or decreases the current flow. We need to adjust accordingly. For a second, I thought the clipper was damaged or broken. But overall, a good product.

Excellent clippers. I have shaved my head since my teenage years and now 34. I do it “gaurdless” to keep nice and short. I had previously been using some old Wahl Envoy cordless clippers which are professional ones (which I got at low price from Sally’s as my wife is a beauty therapist). The Envoy started to make an awful noise after nearly 10 years of use (and i could not use them without the cord as the battery was poor and the power was only satisfactory with the cord plugged in). The Envoy one is more comfortable and lighter to use, but not as good as the new Elite Pro set... Pros- Very clean cut due to the excellent blades and seriously powerful motor. Loads of attachments which are very well made with harder plastic than usual so they don’t bend when in use (the metal clip also means they sit perfectly straight). The adjustable blades (when not using a guard) allows for close cuts in sensitive areas without catching the skin, but if you prefer the No. 1/2 guard is very close (e.g. for those that like to keep their privates trimmed). Very good hard case comes with it keeps everything neatly protected and looks nice on your shelves. Good length to the power cord making it easy to use in different rooms without the need for an extension (I use my kitchen as the floors are tiled). Great price for clippers of this quality and the amazing selection of high quality accessories. Cons- (hardly any in my opinion). Some people may find it too heavy. I enjoy weight lifting and I’m well built but my muscles were a little sore after use but this is not an issue to me as the Pros above out weight this. For me the weight gives confidence in the quality and power of the motor. It comes with the standard tiny oil bottle, however I already have a larger bottle which you can get on Amazon for a small amount of money which lasts years. In summary this is the best set of clippers I have owned and expect them to last at least 10 years with use every 2-3 weeks as my previous Wahl clippers have done, maybe longer. So I would recommend these to anyone, unless you feel weight is an issue (e.g. someone with shoulder pain in your dominant arm).

I bought this clipper on the 19th and tried it for the first time today the 28th. Delivery was good, and the box seemed OK. All parts were inside, and everything seemed fine. The combs look better than they are. The machine itself does not look bad, but it does not look “elite” either. I do not know if I got a faulty one, but the clipper is unusable. It does not cut the hair. It pulls the hair but does not cut it. I tried it with the combs and without it. The clippers simple do not cut the hair. I tried it a couple of times and had to stop because it was too painful. I was not expecting that it will last 20 years, but I was expecting a bit better than this. I could not use it not even once. I have short, fine hair, so the machine did not have to do a lot of work. I can see that there are numerous positive reviews, but according to the one I got, I would not recommend this clipper to anybody. Update 6th Feb 2024. The clipper must have been faulty or Amazon sent a used one. I always try to buy products where Amazon is the seller, like this one. I just bought another Wahl Clipper from a local Argos, the clipper had a protective plastic film quite tight around the blades and it performed as expected. The one I got from Amazon did not have the protective film and the experience was close to torture. I had never had that much pain from a haircut.

Heavy duty machine, excellent quality

J’ai acheté cette tondeuse le 21 Décembre 2021 et je l’ai utilisé 5-6 fois depuis. Elle est très fonctionnel et fonctionne parfaitement bien. Je suis même bluffé par son niveau de finition esthétique. La boîte est pratique pour le rangement. De l’huile lubrifiante pour les lames est fourni avec le coffret ainsi qu’un sabot guide de graissage aussi. J’ai vu de nombreux commentaires négatifs qui parlaient d’un bruit très particulier de la tondeuse en utilisation. Pour avoir eu le cas deux fois j’ai compris d’où venait ce bruit et il n’est absolument pas grave puisque ce n’est ni un bruit mécanique ni électrique interne à la tondeuse. Le bruit vient du fait que si le sabot est mal clipsé les vibrations de la tondeuse en elle même et les mouvements de la lame viennent taper le sabot mal clipsé et donne un bruit vraiment atroce et fort !!! Mais il suffit juste d’exercer une pression (modérée) sur le sabot pour que le bruit disparaisse complètement. Et la tondeuse redevient totalement silencieuse ! Donc il suffit de BIEN clipser et placer le sabot pour que le bruit n’apparaisse jamais.
