Love these balls - this is a repeat purchase. - perfect size for my spaniel . Comfy for him to pick up and hold - love the central cylindrical hole as I believe this is a safety design in case the dog chokes - although I think the ball is too big to get stuck . Smooth surface does not abrade teeth like tennis balls and it glows in the dark for evening play - good value and lasts +++ only replacing as we’ve lost it on a walk . Highly recommend

This ball has literally transformed the longer nights. I have to work away from home in day so this illuminated ball means my dog and I can ball play irrespective of night/day. She now gets her sprinting all year round, and adores the ball become It is clearly visible. As some reviewers have noted, the illumination fades after about 20-30 minutes, but this really IS NOT a problem. Just take a small (rechargeable) torch - shine it only the ball for a minute and 'hey presto' you have another 10-15 minutes of brightly illuminated ball (depending on how bright the torch). We do this several times, sometimes only holding torch to ball for a few seconds. The ball is super bouncy (like other Chuckit balls) and very durable - our black lab hasn't managed to destroy it all winter. It also whistles when thrown which adds to the fun. The picture of her here is with the ball with torch shining on both dog and ball, so the illumination in the ball doesn't show up. Needed the torch light to take the pic. But truly, the ball is great and really visible. We sometimes play night time ball for as long as two hours. Cannot now be without these balls.

MY DOGS LOVE THESE BALLS!!! i have a little Cairne poodle cross called Meg. She doesn't know she is small and likes to play as hard as the boys. These balls whistle quietly but distinctly when thrown with or without a chucker so the dogs can hear them passing overhead or past their ear and they love it. My boy Bob likes football as they are supremely rubbery and easy to kick a fair distance with a light tap. Despite being so bouncy they are none the less robust and none of ours have either split or got chewed into chunks, which is always a bonus. YES the larger ones are a lot more expensive than your average tennis ball but ALL of ours have survived 2 winters and summers without being misshapen or damaged even by our rubber ball obsessed Labradoodle with a pair of gnashing jaws like a crazed hyena on steroids (which he is with Addisons disease). I leave mine on the dashboard through winter so on the way to our daily walks they are charged up and ready to glow should the shorter nights be catching me out and we are trotting about in the park. They glow just enough to make the obvious and even it the day time, overcast or foggy they stand out as a greeninsh white against the grass. If you take them to the woods they are easily found amongst branches or bracken because of their luminosity which is just enough to always spot them. So far I've only lost one out of 7 different sized balls purchased. I don't care about playing ball in the house, within reason we bounce these ones around the kitchen or down the stairs on rainy days to give the pooches some stimulation as they are all highly intelligent and hate laying around hour after hour. I have a spare set in a draw for an evening play time, we fetch the balls with great excitement and bounce them around the house for a bit, then they get a biscuit and they lay down happily for the rest of the night. Whoever designed these balls just loves dogs, and I love their balls! My apologies for turning this review into a blog but i can't like them more than five stars which is frustrating.

Glow ball is all of the things in the headline - a bouncy, rubbery, pliable, hollow ball with hole for treat insertion plus, of course, it glows in dark or dull places after being in the sun or other bright light. They bounce ridiculously well, just like the old, solid, superballs but are soft and light enough not to do any damage indoors or out. They were the favourite toys of our late Basset-Beagle cross, Denzel, who had three of them. They squash and spring back into shape as the dog chews them, with a dog-satisfying feel and noise. His two remaining glow balls (one was lost under the summer house) are in his box next to his little urn. Our new beagle-springer cross puppy, now one year old, destroys absolutely everything he touches, and now has three new glow balls, so it's time to find out if glow balls are indistructable. They are somewhat expensive as dog balls go but worth every penny and highly recommended.

I swear by Chuck-it balls. Our two year old Border Collie is the destroyer of toys, bringer of ball armageddon. At any one time there are half a dozen balls littering the floor of our house that people have bought her. Some last a few days, some last a few weeks. All will meet their doom. Except Chuck-it balls. Every one we have bought has survived (except their generic tennis ball that came free with a ball launcher) and is still going strong. We have several different ones, the very best being the Ultra ball but also the loud squeaker and this glow-in-the-dark version. It's a very different ball to the ultra, much softer and squidgier as it has a hole through the middle. It's also a different material, one that glows an eerie green in the dark. And that's the selling point of this ball over the others. It does glow in the dark. It's not super-bright, it's not got twinkly lights and you could still lose track of it, but it does glow a definite green that makes it easier to spot. We've got quite a long garden and even with a lot of string lights it's easy to lose track of balls, but this Chuckit is much easier to see. It's also possible to spot it when it goes into the hedges or plants. It doesn't leap out at you, but it can be much easier to spot in a dark bush. Additionally, because of the hole through the middle it has a sort of whistle as it flies. You can hear it as it sails through the air, and also so can the dog. Throw a regular ball in the dark and the dog can lose track of it. I've hit my dog several times as she's lost track of its flight, but the Chuckit glow in the dark balls allows her to pinpoint it before it lands. It's also softer for her to catch out of the sky so less likely to damage her teeth and gums, and less likely to hurt your foot when you kick it. It's a really very impressive ball. And, just as importantly, Storm the God of destruction has not ruined it either.

My dog enjoys chewing these. They bounce good. They're tough; they have yet to be damaged despite his best efforts. They are lightweight and throw far and make a pleasing whistling sound as they fly through the air. Another dog at the park stole one and I let him keep it. His owner says he usually isn't interested in balls but would'nt put this one down. I wish it glew brighter and for longer but I don't know if its possible to make safe materials glow any better anyway.

These are fantastic. Glow in the dark, but take a torch with you to top it up. Out with several dogs and owners at night and these balls have proven their value. Lasted from October to now with no damage to the balls. With tennis like balls they are destroyed, sometimes on first outing. Not these... superb! Well worth the money!

You also have a choice you can get squeaky, crunchy,or nothing or glow in the dark, 3 sizes to fit your pupper.. .. so many choices and it doesn't have to be a ball you can pick from a ton of toys ' tuggers ,launchers and indoor toys too. As for the Chew resistance...mm touchy...like I said. Aggressive chewer are more likely to tear it up way quicker than the just playing mainly like I want to fetch dog. Either way. I dont purchase any other brand besides chuck it. Has always my pick, like 20+ yrs now lol. Hands down. This is not a paid thing or promoted or whatever. The Chuckit balls are always good quality and this is no exception. I bought this after the previous smaller one got lost and my dog absolutely loves it. The slippery surface means it can come out his mouth, but it gives it a bit of unpredictability. It doesn't have too much of a bounce but travels a fair distance and has a good glow at night. My dog is a bit chewer so the durability is vital. We will definitely have a lot of fun with this!

It's my golden retriever's fav ball but it does not glow at all! When we play outdoor and night you cannot see the ball. The only time I see the ball glow is in a dark bathroom.... My dog is not playing in a bathroom.

Our Golden loves these,this particular size doesn’t fit in the chuck it but we knew that when we purchased them,he just likes to play with them by himself.It’s the only thing he doesn’t destroy.We also have the smaller size for the chuck it,definitely his favourite toy and we like that it glows in the dark.
