This is a really excellent shower hose. It doesn't become either hot or cold, so when it touches your skin it just feels neutral. It's flexible and light (although certainly not flimsy), it was simplicity itself to fit to a standard Triton shower - and doesn't leak or drip at all. It's darker than the metal coil-type hose which is usually fitted to showers, and it has a slight sheen/glow - so it looks better and more luxurious.Thank you to the reviewers here who mentioned that both washers were packed into one end of the hose, otherwise I would have missed that fact. (The washers are standard and so, should they ever perish or wear down, it's easy to get new ones (and I bought a packet of ten washers here on Amazon at the same time as I bought this hose, just in case). Something else worth mentioning is that the hose is very twisted in the packaging and at first it seems that it will forever be twisting against where you want to go when you use the shower, but after a couple of showers the hot water running through the hose gets rid of all the kinks and it's then perfectly smooth and unkinked.I'm just about to order another of these hoses for the (brand new) shower/mixer tap on a new bath. I was going to wait until the existing hose lost its colour, but I've decided that the new bath and taps will look even better with this hose - and I won't run the risk of scratching the new bath with the Hansgrohe hose which I would with the one fitted to the new shower/mixer unit.A really excellent shower hose.16 November 2017 - The hose is still performing perfectly and looking as good as new (it just needs an occasional simple wipe over with some descaler on the cloth to remove limescale, something which is virtually impossible to do with conventional twisted metal hoses). I haven't yet needed to change either of the washers. A second hose, which I bought for the shower unit over the bath, is also 'as new' after over a year.

Bought to replace a shorter hansgrohe hose which started leaking after 8 years regular use. Found it at a good price on Amazon. A quality original hansgrohe item and easy to fit, with clear instructions. In operation, it has an attractive and resilient 'matt shine' finish that's easy to wipe clean and doesn't attract calcium deposits like metal hose. 2m length allows use of shower head on additional holder halfway down long side of bath, as well as high on shower rail, without stretching

This is far better than the previous metal hose I had in my wet room. No more mould, no kinks and no leaks after three years of use.However, later a small leak appeared at one of the connectors. After 4 years and 5 months it broke, leaving my wife holding the shower head while the detached hose writhed around spraying water all over the place. Not a problem for us because it is a wet room, but I would have expected the hose to last longer. (Rating reduced from 5 to 4 as a result.)The black seal deteriorated, allowing the water pressure to push the brass part out of the hose. In my picture, it has been hammered back in but now leaks quite badly. Despite the disappointing longevity, I will probably buy another one because it is so much more hygienic than a metal one.

the best metal shower hose . its really heavy and can bear high water pressure . like 16 bars which is very high for home use. moreover it can bear hot and cold water. the hose 2m empty is also very heavy . I now feel its better then the plastic hose I had of the same brand. however all metal hoses need to be replaced every few years due to scale . so that is something to keep in mind .

I bought this to replace a standard flexible hose, which collected dirt no matter how much I dried and cleaned it after every shower. This one isn’t quite as flexible but it’s so quick to wipe down after use, doesn’t collect any dirt or germs and looks so much better than the cheaper hoses. A great buy, well worth the money.

Excellent quality, Easy to keep clean and with the free rotating end it doesn't force the spray head to try and twist away.Points to note:Before fitting, put it in the bath in some warm/hot water to ease straightening the hose out, remember it's been coiled in the box for a while.Use grippy gloves or similar to fit as the end shrouds are smooth and difficult to initially tighten.If you have low pressure or low flow then this hose may not be for you, I used it on an electric shower, and noticed a slight drop in flow at the head, partially because it's a narrower bore than the original hose, but also it's longer.

Replaced identical item which was rendered useless as shower head broke and the heads remaining screwbit could not be removed. Otherwise it was still going strong after 8 years (using softened water)

Bij deze slang draait de douchekop (op/in de koppeling) onafhankelijk van de richting van de slang. Mijn ervaring is inmiddels, dat Hansgrohe artikelen (de douchekop namelijk ook) gebruiksvriendelijker zijn dan de spullen van Grohe
