Simple, easy to use, holds phone securely
Really impressed with this phone holder. The design is very simple but all the better for it. It holds my Motorola G7 Power (in a silicone case) securely and grips the dashboard of my Hyundai i10 firmly, it hasn’t moved a mm so far. The device itself is well made and feels like it will be durable. Assembly and installation couldn’t be easier. It arrives as flat mat with two sets of upright pegs to choose from. Simply pick the pegs that best fit your device and attach them to the mat by pushing the small nubs on the base of the pegs through the holes in the mat. I had read a couple of reviews that stated that this assembly process was tricky but I found it to be very easy. Just stretch the mat a little to elongate the holes and job done. Once in places the pegs appear to be very secure. With the holder now assembled, installing it in the car is a doddle. In fact, “installing” is really too grand a word for the process. Simply pick a suitable spot and places the mat on it. That’s it. The flexible base easily moulds itself to slight undulations from air vents and similar. Once in place the holder looks unobtrusive and doesn't interfere with the drivers line of vision. To be honest it just looks like a part of the dashboard but if it did bother you when not in use you can just pick it up and chuck it somewhere out of sight. Another advantage of it not being fixed in place is that you can just move it between all the cars in your household or even use it in the house to hold a tablet or whatever. Maybe even a book! Very pleased with my purchase, easily the best solution for mounting a phone in the car that I’ve found so far and at less than a tenner I think it’s a bit of a bargain. My car is basic so I use the phone for playing music and navigation and having it mounted centrally in clear view and knowing that it won’t move is just really useful.

Sensational product. Ticks all the boxes. Simple. Elegant. Durable. Bargain!!
I have never written a review, however I simply needed to tell everyone about how great this product is!!! The dashboard mat is simply fantastic. There is nothing like this on the market and after a few years of frustration with phone holders, I have definitely found the perfect one! The plastic phone holders with adjustable clips etc simply don't last, whereas the Dashboard Mat is incredibly durable and resistant and I can see this will last me a lifetime. The grip of the mat is outstanding and although I thought it would slip, it didn't - not even when going over bumps! Sensational. The product is incredibly versatile and fits all phone sizes, it was so easy to assemble and the delivery was instant!! Such an incredibly cheap price for a product of the highest quality - a true bargain! Finally, the customer service was brilliant, they replied to all my messages about the product instantly and I am so so happy to have bought this!!!

Great Phone holder
Perfectly holds my phone. Made from quality materials, strong and sturdy, it does not move once placed on the dashboard. This is my second purchase for another vehicle and I've also recommended it to others. All phones sit tightly and even with hard turns phones don't move or fall out. The only thing I've not liked is the rubber feet that need to be slotted in to the mat before use. They tend to come out when moving the mat in and out of a vehicle and they're a pain to reinsert however if you're simply removing and reinserting your phone then inserts remain firm. Best phone holder I've owned

A really useful and functional piece of kit!
A very simple idea and product ...... but very often they are the best! This car 'phone holder, which incidentally also holds my Garmin Sat Nav very safely is well made and appears very durable. It is very grippy on the dash and hasn't moved a millimetre since we put it there. The flexible base easily moulds itself to slight undulations from air vents and similar. You may have to push your satnav in a couple of times before the 'slot' adapts to the thicker size (we found that warming the material with a hair dryer worked a treat) but then it's perfect. Looks good because it's so unobtrusive and doesn't cause any loss of forward vision for the same reason. We are really pleased with it, having had a series of other satnav holders from grip magnets (that kept dropping the satnav and one that broke the air vent) to window mounted mechanisms that popped off or rattled, but this is the best without doubt.

An amazing idea & perfectly performed in practice. Second one I have bought!
I am so happy with this car phone holder that I bought another one for my partner! The one I had before needed to be clipped in the air panels of the car, it required constant fiddling and adjusting so ended up not using it and keeping my phone between my legs when I had to follow direction with the GPS. Really dangerous! I agree that this product is use, grab and go! The ultra-premium silicone is soft and it shape perfectly the rounded front of my Smart car just on the left of the steering wheel on top of the stereo. I was worried that when accelerating, braking the matt will slip but it does not, it stay firmly on its place (and so the phone of course). The two angles of support are perfect for following directions on GPS and phone calls hands free. I will try to use it at home when I want to have a second screen (tablet) next to my computer!

Was OK.
Needed a quick phone holder, just for maps use on the way home from an unfamiliar place. Was sturdy enough until I had to do an emergency break ( A tractor coming at me on the wrong side of the road)...that's when it flipped my phone over and it landed down by the windscreen.

Simple and effective
This silicon mat sits on my S-Max's curved dash and holds my iPhone6. It can handle bigger phones. There are two sets of silicon holders for different thicknesses, and each holder has two different angles to hold the phone. I prefer to have my GPS map immediately above the steering wheel for safety, and this does that beautifully. A bonus is I can take it to any other car with me, or use it in the house/office! Bought another one for my wife's car: anyone saying it just slips off/falls over isn't using it properly - it will slide if the dashboard is dirty/dusty *when you put it down on the dust*. A quick wipe of the dashboard and underside of the mat and it sticks like glue. Also, the phone clips have two angles to suit your phone's position and are relocatable for differing widths. It's pretty universal and, again, the best and safest position for a sat-nav. I'm not a fan of middle/side navigation screens as the driver has to take his eyes away from forward to read them and it's dangerous when approaching multi-lane junctions etc.

Terrible for larger/thicker tablets or phones
Ok, I thought I'd write this review, 6 months after purchasing it and after several thousand miles of motoring. I have driven around 6,000 miles in those 6 months using this dashboard phone/tablet holder, in three different makes of Luton vans, a large Peugeot transit van, a small Peugeot car and a VW Beetle, and my overall experience is not good. I have come to the conclusion that the design of the vehicle dashboard is the overriding factor when measuring the success of using this holder, but that is by far not the only factor. I love the simplicity of it, because it's so easy to use, BUT it is not a one-handed operation holder - you need both hands to properly sit the phone or tablet between the two rubber uprights. This is made all the more difficult if you're using a thick phone or tablet, more so if it has a protective case and/or cover, making it even thicker. So basically it's not just a case of slipping your phone/tablet into the holder - you need to use both hands to wriggle and manipulate the holder and uprights to get it to hold it properly. Then there is the problem of charging your phone or tablet when using it. With both my phone and tablet, the USB-C charging slot is on the bottom of them, so that is the part facing the dashboard, and you literally have maybe 1cm gap between your phone/tablet and the dashboard - which means you have nowhere near enough space to plug a regular USB cable into the device. I got around that by buying an L-shaped 90 degree elbow USB-C cable and had just about enough gap to plug it in and still have the phone/tablet sitting in the holder. Ok, you can rotate your phone or tablet so the charging socket is on the side, or top, but I wanted to use them both in portrait mode, and even in landscape mode, the charging cable was in the way of everything. The two rubber uprights are very wobbly and quite flimsy/soft and so they can collapse sideways easily when trying to move your device, and they can also easily disconnect, either partially or fully, from the base. The design is not the best. But the biggest problem I had was the phone (and more often) the tablet falling off of the holder and onto the floor of the vehicle. I had to position the holder in such a position to allow me to 'wedge' the phone/tablet between the holder and windscreen at an angle where I could see it properly, but also for it to be stable. That is all well and good, and for much of the time it was fine, but firstly one has to wonder - if I'm wedging the device, then what really is the holder for? I could probably just as effectively wedge the phone or tablet between the dashboard and windscreen WITHOUT having to buy this holder. But secondly, the mere fact that I had to wedge the phone/tablet means this holder is not very effective. Thirdly, using the 'wedging' method was ok - until that is you went around roundabouts or sharp bends, or worse still trying to accelerate quickly from a standing start, like at a junction or roundabout when other cars are travelling too fast, so you have to put your foot down to get out before they hit you. It got to the point where, when I was about to accelerate as above, I had to lean forward and push/hold my phone/tablet against the windscreen until the initial acceleration had passed, until I felt the danger had passed. Unfortunately, I forgot to do that at times and my device ended up on the floor, which in itself was dangerous as I was left clutching around my feet trying to find it, while still driving - you may say pull over and do that, but there was nowhere to pull over on most of the roads I was using! I did many 350 mile round trips, and it just got ridiculous how unreliable the holder was. But, and it was just a matter of time, eventually after my phone/tablet had flung backwards out of the holder numerous times when accelerating or going around roundabouts/sharp bends, I ran out of luck - my tablet (a Tab7 so 8.5" - not a full size tablet) yet again fell out of the holder onto the floor, but this time it had cracked the screen badly. The simple fact is that the holder sounds good on paper, but in real world use, it's simply too flimsy to hold anything other than s small/thin phone. Anything else will be too heavy/thick, and you'll end up like me, having to constantly pick your device up off of the floor. Sorry, but after 6 months of heavy use, I simply cannot recommend this holder.
