From the Fortnum & Mason 2018 Food and Drink Award winner: 'One of the most beautiful hardbacks weโve ever seen' The Evening Standard An iconic restaurant. A celebratory cookbook. Simply delicious Italian homecooking at its best. With River Cafe 30 , Ruth Rogers and her head-chefs, Joseph Trivelli and Sian Wyn Owen, invite you to join them in marking 30 years of memories and good food at London's The River Cafe. Since 1987, The River Cafe has championed simple, good quality Italian cooking. Ruth, Joseph and Sian have revisited and updated the best dishes from the first blue cookbook and introduce 30 new favourites from the menus today - Panzanella , Ravioli with Ricotta, Raw Tomato and Basil , Risotto with Porcini and Girolles , Braised Beef Fillet and, of course, Chocolate Nemesis . Including Ruth's memories and unseen archive images, Rose's careful tips and hand-drawn illustrations, new photography by Jean Pigozzi and Matthew Donaldson, bespoke menu artworks from the restaurant's friends and 120 classic Italian recipes, River Cafe 30 encapsulates the essence of the restaurant and its food. This is a beautiful cookbook of recipes you'll want to cook time and again - a must-have for all food lovers. Review: A Path to Pleasure - This is not just one of the loveliest books you might own - you can unashamedly put it on your coffee table - but it is also a really useful cookbook. It has so many of the best recipes from the River Cafe in London. They are simple to execute, and guaranteed to please your guests, family, and yourself. The book also has a wonderful story - about two women, Rose Gray and Ruth Rogers who turned their ideas about food (Italian) into a world-class restaurant - and they did it by redefining the way a restaurant should exist, not only by using the best and freshest ingredients but by treating customers and employees with integrity, kindness, and generosity. The book, River Cafe 30 is simply a delightful path to pleasure. Mine has never made it to the coffee table, it stays in the kitchen. I might buy another. Review: River Cafe what's not to love - This is a lovely book, some great recipes and dying to try them all. Lovely fresh ingredients and colourful results. Buy it, you won't regret it

And even if like me you have the entire collection
From the moment that the first River Cafรฉ Cookbook turned cookbook culture on its head, over 20 years ago, the publishing of a new volume is always eagerly awaited in my household. If you have yet to buy one of the River Cafe cook-books then this is of course an absolute must as it wont only open the door on what makes this London's most special restaurant but immediately gives you a masterclass in their sublime cuisine. And even if like me you have the entire collection, River Cafe 30 brings together everything you love and distils the essence of Ruthie Rogers supreme achievement. When I look at my record collection I have a choice of 'originals' and 'greatest hits' but this has the advantage of previously unseen photos, thoughts, memories and is a brilliant achievement.

Gorgeous Italian cookbook w delicious recipes!
This is a great cookbook with wonderful recipes from one of the worlds greatest restaurants. Beautifully (overly?) designed with perhaps too many photos of staff... Otherwise, a great resource for learning how to cook their special blend of authentic Italian yet hearty European fare!

Arrived dirty and without the dust jacket
The book that arrived was clearly used. There was no dust jacket and the white cover was completely scuffed.
