Fisher-Price Baby’s First Blocks, Baby Toy

I bought this for my nephew as his first shape sorter and set of blocks, this is the same model Miss Rachel uses in her videos so it’s great, it’s smaller than I thought it would be but actually perfect for a 7 month old! It’s very durable, he has thrown this around and it’s been real fun for him! I love the bright primary colours

It looks ok. I have put it away for Christmas. It was relatively inexpensive & has the educational element which we, as parents, all hope for. I recommend it.

We bought this before our baby turned one, and even at that age she enjoyed it, just not necessarily in the way the toy is “supposed” to be used. At first it was more about picking up the different shapes, feeling them, looking at the colours and, of course, putting them in her mouth. The pieces are nice and chunky, which made them easy for small hands to hold and explore. As she has got older, she has started paying more attention to the different shapes and trying to work out where they go. So for us it has been a toy that worked in different ways as she developed rather than something she only started using once she could sort properly. The storage bucket is also handy because all the pieces can go back inside when you are finished. A simple toy, but a good one for early exploring and then later for learning the shape sorter properly.

Our 10 month old baby loves this toy! She's had it for a couple of months now and she never gets bored of it! The lid does come off easily but it's absolutely fine and she tends to try and eat it a lot of the time. It's all about exploring though!
