I'm reading different comments about cartridge longevity ... which is the truth ? The refill last longer or it has a very poor ... life ?

I think the life length is OK but not considering the price. The real issue is that fact that the nib degrades very quickly (it shouldn't degrade at all)

Works with normal ink ? Can i replace the ink cartridges with a ink pump ?
