Raspberry Pi Zero W Starter Kit

This is really nicely made, and it's quick and easy to get the Zero setup and running as a discreet micro computer. Only two real drawbacks. The first is that you will still need a decent, reliable USB power source for it not to freeze under load. The second is that the unit will still overheat in this case if you require something more intensive of it for a modest period of time. For example, it makes an excellent emulator for 8- and 16-bit consoles, but it will cook itself after about 10–15mins under steady load without active cooling (i.e. a fan). For less demanding projects, however – such as a Pi-hole network-wide ad blocker, or way into discreet home automation – this kit is perfect.

I bought this as I wanted to use my Pi Zero as a way of filtering out the adverts on my network. This case allows me to protect the Pi Zero and give it a way of dissipating heat better with the enclosed finned heat defector as its on 24/7 behind my router working away.

Bought to create a Pi-Hole, was simple and easy to setup and works brilliantly at stopping most of the crap that passes through my home network.

This a great starter kit for the Raspberry Pi Zero, the case is nice, and all adapters included. The only fault is that an SD card is not included, but other than that I recommend this kit.

I have put it together and am keeping it for a replacement for the one I got before. As I run it 24/7 they are great and if need I will get another as you can depend on them. Great job.

Starter kit is expensive for what it is, on considering the pi zero w is less than half the cost. Few will need all the case options, so would be better as a lower cost with less case options.

It still amazes me that such a versatile computer can be bought for such a low price. I use these all over my house for various jobs and they always perform reliably.

Ben een fan van de Raspberry Pi computers. Zeker de zero W is geweldig. Helaas has ik met deze een probleempje en heb ik hem terug gestuurd, maar normaal gesproken zijn ze haast niet stuk te krijgen.

Great set. Comes with all the adapters and what not. However a separate MICRO SD card needs to be purchased first.

Not a bad set, but overpriced considering it does not have a power supply. To make it a good deal, I bought the Amazon, Warehouse Deal discounted product. The product delivered worked. The contents of the box were not what was supposed to be in it. Kind of looked like a bunch of boxes got dumped, and someone put a handful in each box, and taped them back up. HDMI adapter was missing, case covers were wrong, but I got enough to do what I wanted, so I am not going to return it.

Estamos ante un buen producto. Este pack tiene un buen precio para venir con todo lo que viene y para no tener que estar comprando carcasas para la rasp por otro lado ademas de que viene con el debido adaptador mini-HDMI a HDMI. En realidad, este tipo de raspberry estan pensadas para hacer de servidores y por tanto no necesitas instalar interfaz grafica y lo que se suele hacer es programarlo mediante comandos, por lo cual no necesitarías el HDMI (aunque se puede meter igualmente la interfaz grafica). Llevo un tiempo usándolo y no tengo ninguna queja aunque si que es verdad que podría venir con el cable de carga. Il Raspberry è già di suo un giocattolino potentissimo, davvero entusiasmante. il Raspberry Zero W ha dimensioni incredibili e potenza da vendere. Fantastico. Arrivato in tempi quasi record, perfettamente imballato. Utilissimo il kit che include i cavetti/adattatori per le connessioni (almeno in fase iniziale); adattatori e cavetti non indispensabili, ma sono comodissimi; idem per la sua scatolina, quanto mai utile, estetica e soprattutto funzionale. Montate il dissipatore in dotazione perché il processore comunque scalda in fretta e neanche poco. Una nota: comprandolo direttamente da Melopero, costa decisamente meno, soprattutto se non se ne compra uno solo; se si compra una singola unità, con le spese di spedizione si va quasi pari; tuttavia Amazon offre politiche e modalità di reso che lo rendono una sicurezza ed un servizio eccellente..... consigliatissimo
