These bags are just what I was looking for. I had a supply of similar bags that lasted for at least five years! I don’t remember where we got them, but I could find nothing similar in the stores. These bags are even thinner than my old ones, but they handle the trash just as well. They are not sturdy, but I almost never rip one, which tends to be at the top when I try to close up a too-full load. They easily fit in my 14 inch by 10 inch by 16 inch tall trash can and my 15-inch diameter by 14 inch tall basket. They’re easy on the pocketbook and minimize the effect on the environment.

These are thin but durable for regular trash. If you throw away heavier than normal items it will break the plastic thinness especially if you're throwing away something down an apartment garbage chute. It's better for the environment versus thick plastic which takes a long time to break down.

I bought these garbage bags for the trashcan at my desk and another one in the bathroom. While they hold a lot of garbage (great capacity!), the bags are very thin and have easily teared at the top when removing them from a trashcan. While I do wear medium-length nail tips, so sometimes my nails go right through the bag when grabbing the top, even without nails your finger can push a hole in the bag without much effort. So, yes, I stand by the fact the bags are very thin and could easily tear. However, I haven't experienced these bags tearing due to any garbage. It's all lightweight stuff, such as empty toilet paper rolls, shredded paper, used lint-free wipes (for manicures), tissue, junk mail, cotton swabs, and other typical office and bathroom trash. These trash bags are affordable, though! I'm using them with a 7-gallon trashcan (desk) and a 5-gallon trashcan (bathroom). With the 7-gallon rectangular trashcan, the empty bag seems a bit small at first, but when the garbage begins to pile up, the bag adapts and sits well in the trashcan. Between that and the large capacity, its functionality is on point. Overall: I recommend these bags because of their cost and functionality. Just keep in mind the thinness.

Most small wastebasket liners bottom out about half-way to the bottom of my standard office-size metal cans. These go all the way to the bottom - even after I tie a knot to keep the bag from falling all the way in. My Wife decided it would be a good idea to leave a whole roll in the bottom of each can so we can just pull up the next bag as we empty the can. DO NOT TRY THIS. It looked like it was a great idea the first time I emptied a can, but when I tried to separate the 'new' bag from the bottom of the full bag the un-fun started. Just pull the bag off the roll before you line the can and move on.

Purchased as a liner for my shredder bin. Unfortunately, bags rip easily; another is needed to contain contents. Would be acceptable as a wastebasket liner.

If I could give this less than 1 star, I would. I used one bag with my shredder. When I went to remove it, it fell apart and the shredded paper went everywhere. It was a mess - in the rug, in my clothes on my furniture, everywhere.

I love these and keep them in my bathroom and kitchen. Perfecr for bathroom trash bins and nice and handy for counter top food scraps when making dinner.

These bags are 24" tall by 24" wide. Thus theoretically, it should fit a can about 20" tall by 48" in circumference. Well since the bag is clinched at the bottom, the overall "use height" is about 16-18" (not including overhang). I am using these in a paper shredder box that is 18" tall with about 2" overhang and the bottom of the bag barely touches the bottom of the shredder box. Overall durability seems good. The perforation to tear off the bag was not too good. I had to pull rather hard and the bag finally did tear off at the perforation without tearing or stretching the bag itself.

Very thin, even paper rips the bags, have to double bag them, will not buy again
