My timer rings before the time is up, usually 3 minutes prematurely. What can I do?

Other than setting the alarm for three minutes later than you want, I don't know.

Bought two of these things and they dont ring. How do you get them to ring?

You should only need to turn the chrome part, which moves the needle clockwise until you approach the highest number on the dial. This will wind the alarm. Then turn the chrome part and the needle back counter-clockwise to the selected time. At the end of the selected time the alarm should ring.
