Can you tell me what is in it please

With memories of school chemistry lessons determining metals in substances by the colours they burn with i assume copper is present, green flame, potassium for purple, sodium for yellow, lithium for red, calcium orange, magnesium white and so on.

This may sound a stupid question but do u literally throw the packet onto the fire or do u empty the packet into the fire so it's all spread out?

Throw the packet on unopened.. do not open..i put 3 packs on at the same time and had nice results...wait till your fire is well established for best results and dont cook any food on it after you have put them on

Can it be used indoors on a wood fire place?

Yes, that's how I use mine. One, two or three, put on a burning fire - and relax and watch the multi-coloured flames dance.
