Not too messy!
Bought this for my granddaughter. Easy to use, and not too messy. Final colour was beautiful chestnut red. Very pleased with the result.

I love this henna!
Please read this review carefully as I added highlights instead of doing the whole head*For a while I've been wanting to put ginger tones on my already bleached hair (not a full head of bleach) but I didn't want to damage it with conventional dyes and they don't ever last very long. So I recently came across Henna powder and I am very happy with the results! I mixed the powder up with apple cider vinegar and left it over night for the colour to release. I found that I didn't have to use much of the powder, which means that 100g will last me a while. I'd say I used about 30g the first time I did it and 20g the next time, I applied it as if I was putting in highlights with a highlighter brush which didn't create much mess. The first time I did it I left the henna on for 2 hours and it went a really vibrant orange. 2 weeks later, the colour had faded a bit in parts but was still a nice light golden-orange colour. The second time I did it, which was a few days ago (see pictures, it's a bit more orange in person), it turned out a really nice colour and I left it for 1 hour and a half. Because I have oily hair type, I can't wash my hair once a week or use conditioner, I try to wash it twice a week and use dry shampoo in between. the less you wash your hair the longer the colour lasts of course. I also find that washing it with lukewarm-cold water stops the colour from fading.I highly recommend this henna because the quality is fantastic and it hasn't damaged my hair. I don't blow dry my hair and I wouldn't ever bleach my hair over the bits that were already bleached so my hair was in good condition prior to using henna. If you only add highlights to your hair it's less messy and is easier to touch up again!

Great hair dye when used with indigo
This hair dye is amazing, I’m allergic to ppd in cosmetic hair dye and found this! Used with indigo it creates the perfect dark brown colour and covers grey hair with no reaction

Really pleased with the result
First time using henna. Bit unsure about this 'experiment'! Ordered and it came the next day. Well packaged. Instructions had a hole in the middle so I asked my friend, who has done this before, to give me some tips and I thoroughly read the reviews before I started! I have short, fine, dark hair with some white hair coming through. Have always chemical dyed before. I mixed up half the packet with 75ml fresh lemon juice and 75ml warm water. Left in the airing cupboard overnight. Left on for 3 hours the next day while I did my cleaning. I'm pleased with the result, though my 7 year old thinks it's too orange (but she has an opinion on everything!). Next time I will just mix up a 1/4 of the full packet as I threw alot of the mix away. My hair feels healthy, white hairs fully covered, and my scalp is not itchy (which it usually is after applying chemical dye). This is the new way forward for me. Actually really pleased with the whole 'experiment'.

Beautiful hair colour with a reddish touch
I have been using this product for dying my hair and it's amazing! Originally I have dark brown hair and this makes my hair look fantastic with a bit of reddish touch. I've received so many compliments about my hair since using this product. It does give my grey hair an orange finish, but for me it looks like having highlights, so it actually makes my hair look even better. My friend, who mostly has grey hair, she's using this product, but after this she's putting some indigo on her hair, otherwise her hair would be only orange. With the extra indigo her hair is dark with a beautiful bluish touch.I love this product because it's natural, but it does take more time to dye my hair with this, than with a general hair dying product. I do think it's worth the extra effort though.

lovely hair henna
okay so i was skeptical when i first prepared this henna.i reallllly wanted to dye my hair because i’m currently growing it out from a pixie (it’s under chin length now) but i didn’t want the chemicals. my hair is naturally level 6 dark brown.i prepared a strand test henna and left it for 3 1/2 hours in the bowl covered with cling film, but couldn’t see any dye release and i thought maybe i got an old or bad batch. i contacted It’s Pure who were super helpful and quick to respond and gave me some tips, so I did the strand test on my hair and left it on for 3 hours, it made a subtle but lovely difference!I thought what the hell and did it all over my hair which was surprisingly easy and wow!!!!! the colour is so gorgeous and my hair is SO SOFT! I highly recommend It’s Pure henna!A few tips:Always use aloe vera powder! I use 1 tsp for 100g henna.Use a splash of lemon juiceLeave henna to ‘cure’ overnight! You’ll see the dye release on the top and you’ll know it’s ready.

Amazing beard dye for sensitive skin
Game changer for a guy with sensitive skin and a grey beard. Every other hair dye that claimed to be ok for sensitive skin was like applying acid. Found a website that suggested mixing Cassia:Henna:Indigo in the ratio 1:1:2 to produce dark brown results. All web information suggests leaving it on for over 2hrs but I find leaving it on for only 30mins produces a much more natural look with a little grey still visible. The darker and fuller you want the colour the longer you leave it on. This will last me at least 20 months too as I only use around 5g of the henna per month when combined with the indigo and cassia that’s enough for 2 applications per week.

Itchy reaction
I used this henna for the first time last week, the application was easy and coverage very good, unfortunately I developed an allergic reaction to it and four days later am still suffering from itchy ears and scalp, also irritation to my facial skin, very dissappointing as very happy with consistency and ease of application.
