used carbon in my filters for many years without any problems this product is well worth the money

This is VERY dirty compared with normal packaged carbon. Took to least 20 minutes to rinse through before the rinse water was anywhere near clear and some of it broke up in the water. Have not used it long enough yet to tell whether the water cleanliness is improved, but would be very reticent to try this particular supplier again.
