There's a reason it's cheap
This motherboard was designed with cryptocurrency mining in mind, but it's perfectly serviceable as a general-purpose motherboard if you're aware of its quirks. The biggest problem, and presumably the reason it's one of the cheapest boards on the market, is that although it's a socket 1151 board, the BIOS only supports 6th or 7th generation Intel chips (not the 8th and 9th generation chips that are current at the time I write this. Oddly enough, the older Intel chips are more expensive to buy than the newer models, so getting this motherboard may prove to b a false economy.Having said that, and if you can source a CPU at an acceptable price, the motherboard has everything you need for a decent computer - just. There are two DDR4 RAM slots, there's space for an M.2 SSD daughterboard, or you can have up to four SSDs or HDDs attached. There's exactly one PCI-Express x16 slot, but it is the 3.0 standard, so your super-fast graphics cars will work just fine. Alternatively, there's a DVI video port that will work only if your CPU has built-in graphics. There's Gigabyte ethernet and a total of six USB ports (two of which are 3.0) as well as onboard audio and PS2 mouse and keyboard connectors (why?).There are 4-pin connectors for CPU fan and two chassis fans. There are all the usual front panel connectors, including audio and USB 3.0, as well as more retro options such as COM1 and LPT1.Of course, as a bitcoin mining board, there are also a number of extra MOLEX and SATA power connectors to pump more power into the motherboard, which you can safely ignore, and twelve (yes, twelve) PCIe x1 slots. Only five of these (plus the x16 slot) will be usable in a standard case; if you really want to use them all, you'll need risers. Also showing its Bitcoin heritage, the board has power and reset buttons soldered on, so you can easily use it without a case if you so wish. The form factor is ATX: it's a tall board, but very thin - it's all those extra PCIe slots that stop it from being mini-ATX.So, with that caveat about it only supporting 6th and 7th generation Intel processors, it makes a perfectly serviceable computer, and it's cheap enough to use for experimenting with.

Superb Board
Love this board as it has TONS of PCI-E Slots (12 x1 and 1 x16) the x16 is 3.0 so no issues there, my GTX 2080Ti works a treat. It is a "Mining" board so was designed around using multiple graphcs cards for Bitcon mining, a bit late in that field as you would never get a viable return with this board today due to the millions of bitcoin farms around the world. I would estimate it would take you a year or so to break even! I cant beleive that people think they can still make money from bitcoin mining... (PS you cant unless you have hundreds of ASIC miners, graphic cards just dont cut the mustard today.. I did mine 1/2 a coin back in the day when no one did bitcon.. so I was happy with that and I made a killing as sold it in 2008 when it was 20k for 1 coin!! - I digress...Today bitcon, sorry BITCOIN is a bottomless pit that you will throw yourself into if you think you can make a living out of it.. Have a look on You Tube at bitcoin factories in CHINA... they killed the home mining market, just like China kill all markets (not in a good way)With that in mind I bought this board as its super cheap, only downside is it only supports 6th and 7th Gen Intel processors but I had a i3 7100 i got given and this board is what i wanted for a budget gaming sytem. Set it up with 8 Gigs of 2400 DDR 4I bought a couple of SATA PCI cards for this board as it only has 2 slots and I wanted to set up a raid ssd with 4 SSD disks so I had to get a 2xSATA cards to give me an additional 4 SATA ports.. I had these cards alreadyPros12 PCI x1 slots1 PCI x16 3.0 SlotUEFI Bootm.2 SlotASROC Build QualityConsOnly 7th and 6th Gen Intel Processors2400Mhz DDR 4Only 2 Sata PortsOnly 2 Memory SlotsWould buy this again..If you are aware of the features of this board then it is a quality product. Served its purpose for me and I would get again

Be careful of Processor Choice
The Amazon recommended CPU is not compatible with this motherboard. This motherboard has a limited set of compatible CPUs and not all LGA1151 CPUs will be compatible. All Intel Coffee Lake CPUs are not compatible.I am waiting on a replacement CPU to see how good the motherboard is.

Great when works but mine failed after 45 days
Worked great for about a 45 days. Then kaput, no POST. No matter what. Just a spinning CPU fan, no internal MB beeps to indicate an issue, CMOS reset + battery replace did nothing. Just black screen, no post. Disappointing and costly. Need to RMA it, which as you know costs time and time is money in the crypto space 😒.

PCI-e slots very close together
Works fine for mining but the PCI-e slots are extremely close together, the riser boards actually touch each other! be careful to insulate your boards with something to stop them arching / touching against each other.

Works Well
Works as described, Relatively simple setup, Used with Ptsaying PCI Risers. The power supply issues are a bit complicated if you are using multiple PSU's its possible to break the board so be careful :-)

COFFEE LAKE CPU IS INCOMPATIBLE!
Please be very careful when buying the 'frequently bought together' bundle, as I and many others no doubt have found out, the Coffee Lake CPU is not compatible with this motherboard. BE WARNED!

Does the job - Quite overpriced though.
Overall it is a good product, however, the 100% price markup is what gets it 3*. If you need one for mining it is great.
