Hi. do the two parts fit together quite tightly? i want to mount a headboard to the wall but i worry it might move if i lean against it. thanks

Yes they fit together tightly. I hung an oak framed mirror which measures 1.2m x 0.9m using this hanger system and it hangs very close to the wall. Obviously how close to the wall your headboard would hang depends on how flat your wall is so you may have to pack the gap at the bottom of the headboard where it touches the wall. There is only 15mm vertical movement to remove whatever your hanging so just be aware of this. I personally would recommend this hanger for fitting large pictures / mirrors or headboards.

I need to hang a heavy paned door horizontally on proper wall. Would 3 of these do it?

Yes I should think so. I have one holding up a 5 foot by 2 foot wooden framed mirror. And it is very firm.

Does this hanger work with nails as well as screws?

Depends what you are attaching it to. If it's wood, nails would work but screws are always more stable.

Are they fixings hidden behind the mirror? I don’t want to see theme

Yes the mounting is hidden completely . One part is fastened flush with the top of the frame and the other fastened directly to the wall . I did use bigger screws than supplied to fasten the wall part just to make sure it was ok
