OPP1820 ONE+ 18V Cordless Pole Pruner, Yellow, 20 cm Bar (Body only)

Another addition to my Ryobi armoury. Does the job well cuts through branches of the tree overhanging my summer house like a hot knife through butter. The only concern I have is how the extension poles will wear as they wobble a bit and care is needed when handling. The poles are a bit fiddly to assemble at first but soon got used to it. Main points I would recommend is thorough cleaning of bar, chain and head assembly as leaving it dirty will impede oil flow to chain, this applies to all chainsaws. Ensure chain is adjusted to ensure easy cutting. As you can see by my photos this was just a 15 minute session to clear the hanging branches. If you already have Ryobi batteries this is a good buy a little pricier if you have to buy charger and battery. The device extends to 3 m or so which is ample for my needs overall I would recommend it

I have just started using this Pruner having recently bought a few Ryobi ONE tools etc. In short it seems brilliant. The tool is well made and should last. - we have a high end 'requirement' living on an (what was) an old farm - now holiday lets - with lots of farm track, trees, hedges, grass, etc etc etc. in the North Wales outdoors where everything grows! Grumbles - well, Ryobi instructions are basically pictures only plus a few words - but I am familiar with Chainsaws , which is what this is - a mini chainsaw - and have already adjusted the Pruner chain (as you would need to after a first use). However many buyers, possible converts away from petrol/electric corded garden power tools may struggle with understanding their new purchase and crucially how to maintain as best possible. Maintenance is easy, like everything when you know how. eg make sure you ensure that the chain oil always topped up - Ryobi give you a small bottle which I used today alone. Wipe the chain afterwards with oil and carefully replace the plastic scabbard over the chain. It just needs some care whether taking off or putting back on afterwards. Ryobi do need to improve their instructions which mainly consist of health and safety. A few words would be good to explain/support the pictures - how you do it... but like many global selling manufacturers products, words are being dropped to save translations presumably. The Pruner was simple to assemble. (I had challenges with the Ryobi brush cutter though where you had to put on a nut Anticlockwise to tighten - seemed unnatural but then I realised that was what the picture was showing me ). The Pruner easily cuts branches that are 4-6 inches, steady as you go supporting the tool....... It does what it claims. Even without the extension you can get pretty high wood etc. My 4 amp battery will last ages when fully charged. This will get a lot of use, I think it will last and at around £90 is good value in my view.

amazing value for money, was quoted £250 to trim 2 out of shape trees and this done it, with 4 hours work, easily. and now i own it. great tool, easy to set up, heavy on the arms though.

as usual good quality tool, easy to use does exactly what it says on the box, colour me impressed.

I bought this after buying other Ryobi products when I required having a tree pruned. Normally we have tradesmen do it, but this time after receiving quotes in excess of £300, I thought I would have a try myself. First off, as other reviews have stated, this product does not extend to 4 meters. But I knew this before purchasing it . Good Points The performance of it was amazing. I was able to prune my tree much quicker than using loppers. It was able to carve through all the branches I tried it on (up to 4'' thick) with ease. I used a Ryobi RB18L40 ONE+ 4.0 Ah Lithium Battery, 18 V & it lasted ages. I filled up an estate car's worth of branches before having to recharge it (It didn't run out, it was just running low) Bad Points It was heavier than expected when using the extension. There is a strap to help hold it, but for the very high branches, I had to use my arms. I am 6ft 2'' of average build and this was tiring after a while. The instructions were poor. At one point the chain came off, I had to resort to YouTube before I worked out how to re-seat it. This only happens once and it is easy thing to rectify (when you know how) Would I recommend it? It would depend on the buyer. and the height of the tree to prune. But I was very impressed with it and will definitely use it again. Both of my neighbours came out to look and were surprised how good it was (they were doubters of using a battery powered pruner beforehand,now they too are converts)

Lovely piece of quality made kit but it is large and very heavy. I would have liked to be able to use as a hand held trimmer but that's not possible. The shortest is still about 4 ft and quite awkward.

Absolutely fantastic. I have Ryobi everything as the batteries are interchangeable. I could attach the leyandii hedge properly.

Let's face it, wrangling a ladder and a chainsaw to trim those out-of-reach branches is a pain. Enter the Ryobi Cordless Pole Pruner, my new best friend for sky-high yard work. This little beast extends up to 4 meters, which means I can ditch the ladder (hallelujah!) and reach branches that would normally require some serious acrobatics. Plus, it's cordless, so no more detangling myself from extension cords like a jungle explorer. Power-wise, it packs a punch with a high-torque motor and a sharp 20cm Oregon chain. Most branches don't stand a chance, although I wouldn't recommend it for tree trunks (unless you're looking for some serious arm exercise). Now, here's the thing: battery life can be a bit of a gamble. Depending on the size of the job and the battery you're using, you might need a spare. Also, if you're tackling monster branches, this pruner might whimper a bit. But for most homeowners like me, it's just right. Overall, this Ryobi pruner is a lifesaver for keeping my trees in check without the ladder dance. It's easy to use, convenient, and gets the job done. Just keep in mind the battery situation and branch thickness, and you're golden. P.S. It's plastic, not metal, so don't go crazy Tarzan swinging from the trees with it.

Potatore elettrico senza fili marca Ryobi, da completare con le batterie da 18V (non incluse). Leggero e comodo da usare. Personalmente ho mandato in pensione il potatore a benzina! Consigliato a chi cerca qualcosa di pratico, conveniente soprattutto per chi ha già prodotti Ryobi in modo da poter spalmare il prezzo delle batterie su più prodotti

comme tous les outils ryobi , leur intérêt est dans leurs batteries interchangeables . ce qui fait que quand on a beaucoup d'outils cela devient très très pratique. cet élagueur et le plus pratique et efficace que j'ai dans la gamme ryobi. il remplace un élagueur avec FIL ryobi qui avait quelques défauts dont notamment la chaine qui sautait trop régulièrement.... le système a été amélioré sur celui-ci même si le problème arrive de temps en temps... sinon pour l'efficacité il n'a rien a dire... ça coupe comme dans du beurre à 3 mètres de haut, des branches mêmes bien épaisses, c'est assez bluffant... après il faudra changer la chaine de temps en temps pour garder une telle efficacité. l’élagueur est même assez léger, on peu le tenir en bout de bras sans trop se fatiguer. pour moi qui ai beaucoup d'arbres à élaguer , c'est un outil indispensable, et ravi depuis que je l'ai, je le recommande plus que vivement vive le sans fil !!
