Aftershave Lotion, 100 ml

Well, I'm throwing my colognes away and declaring this as MY aftershave.I have a full-set beard, but I use a safety razor to keep my neck clean. However, I have very sensitive skin on my neck and it's really rare that I have a shave without any irritation and at least once a week, I end up going into work with a few red patches even when I used Nivea post-shave balm (it was far worse when I used cartridge razors). This has changed all of that!After splashing my neck with cold water, I put a splash of this on and feel a slight tingle and an almost immediate tightening of my skin as this tones it all up. The menthol adds to this tingle and gives it a really nice yet subtle scent. A good aftershave is a really important step in a man's shaving routine - it closes up the pores and acts as a subtle antiseptic. It's not about smelling like a brothel.The smell is "classic" - very fresh, clean, and invigorating but not powerful enough to make anyone sharing a lift with you cough. I'm of the school of thought that an aftershave should entice someone to get closer to you, not make their eyes water. Even though this is even more subtle than all aftershaves that I've used in the past, I prefer it. The smell doesn't last all day, but it just makes me feel "clean", which DOES last all day. Also, it's unbelievably cheap!HIGHLY recommended - I'm certainly always going to have a bottle of this in my bathroom cabinet.

Many misinformed reviewers of this product complain about the scent being very short lived , the fragrance itself is very pleasant old school barbers in Bond Street London kind of feel . It is not meant to be a night out fragrance I.e long lasting . It is meant to be an “after a shave finishing product “ ie cooling and soothing a freshly shaved face , this it does in spades provided you have shaved carefully and with skill and don’t have a few nicks , this stuff is excellent it really makes the skin tingle when applied to a freshly shaved face , a bit like cold water but without the shock , the soothing nature comes from the eucalyptus in it .I really think at £10 this is a very good value for money product .it does the job of cooling and soothing the face immediately after your shave and for that it gets a 10/10 from me , remember this is NOT designed to be an after shave long lasting night out fragrance .It is designed to be part of a man’s shaving ritual ( preferably with a traditional grown up de razor ) not these 5 blade rip off priced plastic modern ones .Buy it and use it as it was intended and enjoy …it’s really that good 100 % recommend from me

This menthol splash complements the Proraso balm in the same range. Very good value for the price and leaves a satisfying fresh feeling after a shave. My only regret is that the scent doesn't last long at all. Still bought a second batch though and can recommend.

I can't say enough good things about this stuff. As a die hard old school brush and safety razor user, this lotion is a must have as part of my daily shaving ritual. I've tried all the fancy balms and none of them hold a candle to this stuff in terms of making my skin feel great. Balms just clog your pours and can often make your face feel more greasy. Your skin produces it's own natural oils so as long as you keep it in reasonable shape it cares for itself. What this lotion does is removes any tightness from your face left by using soaps or creams, and leaves it feeling nice and fresh. It also has a little bit of a kick to it when you first splash it on, not painful like alcohol loaded aftershaves, just a mild fresh tingling which is pleasant to me. The scent is very fresh,pleasant and mild and only lasts a few minutes. On the very rare occasions I do get a bit sloppy and get a bit of razor burn (usually a dulling blade) this deals with it nicely. It also leaves my skin feeling great for the rest of the day, and not horribly greasy.This is a product I always use, a shave just doesn't feel complete without it, so much so that I have even decanted some for travelling. I recommend getting the 400ml bottle and decanting from that if you really like it, it saves a lot of money.This product, alongside my old school DE razor and Badger brush makes shaving a pleasure not a chore, you can keep the modern crap, this is Barbershoptastic.

if like me, you get sore and some blood spots after shaving with a razor, putting this on afterwards will sting at first allot , but after a minute, it does have a soothing effect and makes your skin quite supple and calms down irritation after 5 mins, , it has a nice refreshing smell, but it won’t last long maybe 5 to 10 mins before smell wears off, it wont project long like a perfume, I gave it five stars because it is very good value at this price, but if you’re looking for something that won’t sting when first applied go for a cream shaving after balm instead

Not bad but the main scent is gone in about 10 mins. then you have a very feint skin scent for 2-3 hours then nothing. It is perfectly ok as a freshener or a cooling splash after a hand wash or toilet visit too, not just a shave. Nice straight after a shower too to splash on whilst you are still damp. I do prefer Clubman by Pinaud over this as far as aftershaves go. I wear expensive designer colognes too but as a barber I still love the old school barber shop scents. I use Clubman in the shop daily and this stuff really only after hot shaving clients. I feel it is a nice edition to your shaving arsenal, but don't rely on it as your everyday signature scent. You won't be as happy as you are thinking you will be. Also it's worth noting that this is a shower fresh smell, not spicy or woody or vastly aromatic, it's quite Aqua rather than being green despite its colour. If you want a non invasive, fresh, clean smell with good cooling and toning effects from a fairly priced splash then this is a good buy, but I would always recommend Clubman first if you asked. A very nice, fresh scented after shave lotion that soothes and conditions the skin. A lot of people rave about this stuff so I thought I'd give it a go. It really works and smells fantastic. The scent comes alive on the skin, a wonderful fresh clean scent, don't be put off by the addition of eucalyptus in the lotion, you won't smell like a lozenge! It has a light cedar, Mediterranean mint sort of a scent to it, very appealing and refreshing. I found the lotion tingled soon after putting it on, in a rather cleansing and refreshing way, not in any way fiery. Very very nice product, I can see why it's a classic. After several weeks of use I can confirm that it really does moisturise and condition the skin. I shave my head as well and use this lotion also on my head, I just wish it was a little cheaper as it is in Italy, it's a real splash on after-shave without being over powering. This isn't an evening eau de toilette, but an authentic lotion for shavers.This lotion has become a must have for me, I have just bought the 400ml bottle which offers a real saving but is huge. It took me a year to use the small 100ml bottle so gawd knows how long this one will last. Happy days.

Excelente para el after, lo recomiendo para después en mi caso si no lo uso me queda la sensación de irritación, usándolo siento frescura incluso me queda la piel suave. Y suele muy bien aroma agradable que no invado el olfato.
