Fantastic 48V phantom power supply, at any price.
I use this phantom supply to connect various studio condensers direct to my camcorder. My camcorder is a Sony AX100, it has a very quiet 3.5mm mic input but obviously can't power a 48V condenser. I plug my condensers into the Neweer via a balanced XLR and then the output of the Neweer connects to my camcorder via a normalised balanced XLR to unbalanced 3.5mm jack. The camera does all the gaining as the Neweer only supplies the voltage not the preamplification. I had my doubts that this unit would any good for its money. At best I was preparing for something with a little self noise and hum, which at this price I would find totally acceptable. This unit is dead silent and no hum whatsoever. Although my Sony is quiet anyway, and this may just be because I'm totally blown away by the Neweer, but it feels quieter than the Sony on its own, although it really shouldn't. I have a Sennheiser ME66 K6 shotgun microphone which can be either self powered or phantom powered. This mic is very sensitive with a very healthy output level and very quite self noise. Running on battery power the Sennheiser is amazingly low noise on the Sony, but when I power it via the Neweer it almost feels quieter, if that's even possible. The Sennheiser also feels slightly better in its frequency response when being powered by the Neweer, although this is probably the effect of the 48V power as opposed to the Neweer. I would totally recommend this power supply without any reservations whatsoever, it is a no-brainer, and this is even before taking its price into consideration. Once you take the price into consideration, it's so beyond a no-brainer that I'd recommend one even if you didn't need it :) Seriously though, I've worked in pro audio and video for about 30 years and this power supply is a must buy if you need indoor phantom power. It's build isn't too bad either, it's quite light weight but made of aluminium or an aluminimum composite. I'd imagine this lasting for some time if treated properly, especially if left in a permanent/semi-permanent installation. I've even tried this with a professional preamp/ADC (analogue to digital converter) going into my DAW, and it's as good as anything I've ever used in the professional field. No extra noise, no hum. Last words on this Neweer 48V phantom power supply. If all you need is a 48V supply with no preamp, then you would be wasting money if you bought anything else.

Works well for intended purpose
Make sure you read up on how to set this up, as you may need to buy additional cables. Lots of YouTube tutorials out there for those of us that aren't used to setting up sound equipment. For a budget power supply it does what it needs to and works well with my Audio Technica microphone.

Phantom Power for a good price
having used a multitude of desktop microphones for many years, the time came to upgrade to a new Mic. I purchased one knowing that my current Studio PC would benefit from it. 2nd thing I needed was the phantom power unit. Plugging in the mic and then into the pc has made my studio come alive. The Neewer system Phantom Power Supply is fantastic. does exactly what the super branded models do at a fraction of the price.

Works perfectly
Previously just used USB adapter to get my condenser mic working which started bugging out so switched to this phantom power. Works perfectly. If you're having issues with hearing no sound and running on windows, go to sound settings (original control panel area) > recording > double click your mic or select it and hit properties. Go to the levels tab and increase microphone volume there, if its still quiet then increase the microphone boost, mine was set at +0, changing it to +10 made a huge difference for me. Hope this helps !

PAYING FOR A BLUE LED, that’s it!
Okay so I was informed that this would be necessary to power my NW-700 Neewer microphone on my computer desk. I tried plugging in the microphone prior to this arriving and tested the quality without the introduction of a power supply. The audio quality from the microphone was okay and it does the job, however, after introducing the phantom power 48v I was under the belief that there would be a considerable and noticeable difference in the quality. I was wrong, it did not change at all and makes me feel like this was a pure waste of a purchase, the box the contains all the “components” feels like and empty and I feel like I’ve paid for a blue LED on a black box. Like one of those knock of chips for your car that gives you more power...... you know what I mean. Anyway! I can’t say that this does anything for your microphone to do anything in terms of quality or functionality. Just don’t buy one.

Would buy again!
This is just the right product for me to connect a measurement microphone, that needs phantom power, to a USB interface which doesn’t provide it. Really happy chappy as it works great for a low price too! Prompt delivery by Amazon with good communication from placing the order, despatch to delivery. Overall a good, quality product. Would certainly buy again!

Solid little bit of kit
Nothing wrong with it at all, the quality is good. The power unit is decent and all of it is built well enough to take a few knocks while you are out gigging.
