There is a physical button, but i think is only to reset the wify signal.

Will this work in Republic of Ireland

I believe that it will; it does work with most EU DSL systems...

Mine is the AC750 model and I am a Talk Talk customer, it works fine on ADSL. No experience on fibre.

Is this item wall mountable?

Yes, there are cavities for the heads of (two) screws on the base so there would be no problem wall-mounting it. The cables would then go in at the top, and the two aerials would be in the right position to point upwards in a 'V' formation. The only problem might be absorbtion of signals by a brick or concrete etc. wall so close to the aerials.
