sorts out Sky Q mesh network issues
Never used to have any issues with the Sonos network until having Sky Q and SkY Q mini boxes installed in the house. After they arrived, the Sonos platform was useless. Also there was interference with Amazon Prime sticks and watching Netlfix or Amazon on my Samsung Q60 TV. Bought the Boost to sort out the networking conflicts and it works perfectly - instantly connects to my 7 devices, no lag and best of all, the Prime sticks and Netlix / Prime videos work on the TV. Pricey for what it is but well worth the money to sort out all the conflicts!

If you need one, you will probably be very pleased to get one!
A Sonos system should be rock solid and just work. The controllers should be responsive. If this isn't the case without a Boost, it should be with one. My system worked perfectly without a Boost in my previous house, where there was 3-5 m and a brick wall between each of the Sonos units. In my new house, where the units were 8-10 m and a wall apart, I was finding some rooms sporadically disappearing from the Sonos network and it was slow to respond to e.g. volume changes. With the Boost, it now works properly again. The Boost has an excellent range. My Sonos units were struggling to connect from one room to the next, but I successfully connected a Sonos box to the Boost when they were separated by two large rooms (22 m and three walls apart). As mobile phones can connect to the internet via SonosNet, this is a useful way to get good wireless coverage everywhere in a large house. The only real negative (as I think the price is not unreasonable for such a powerful router), is that adding a Boost to an existing system seems to require that you completely set up your Sonos system again, adding units one at a time, starting with the Boost.

Very good piece of kit
Very good piece of kit. I got the boost so that I could have signal in the wooden hut in my garden. I have an almost uninterrupted signal. It does however drop out occasionally but reconnects very quickly and with minimal fuss. The boost is upstairs so the signal has an upstairs wall plus the 5 metre gap between my outside hut and the house plus the wooden hut wall to go through. Although I have not tried the bridge I would highly recommend getting the boost for the better and more reliable connection.

Didn’t work.
Didn’t work, put it back in the box. Maybe my fault, just don’t know, may try again.

Great solution for my Sky Q-Sonos woes
I was surprised by how big a difference this made to my Sonos system. Previously I had my Sonos units running on my Sky Q wifi mesh system and it really just didn't work that well. The Sonos system would be slow to respond and sometimes the players would just drop out of the system and it would be a real pain to get them back online. This sorted all the issues I was having. The whole Sonos system is now very responsive and highly reliable. It's possible I could have figured out how to get my Sonos players to work with my wifi, but just buying this was a lot easier.

Has sorted my speaker drop out issue
Simple set up and once you get connected it has worked perfectly. None of my sonos speakers drop out even In the furthest room from my WiFi. Excellent product a little overpriced though, but that's Sonos I guess.

No dropouts since this
I have a pretty decent wifi setup (newest apple AirPort Extreme and expresses) and Sonos was struggling to hold connections and would drop a couple of times a day. I bought this about two months ago and it hasn't skipped a beat since I installed it. I have 3 play ones and 1 play 5 and the furthest is pretty far from the boost. Well worth the investment if you have issues.

Sonos : A Great Product - Once Upon a Time
The latest versions of the various Sonos products are crap. The original iteration was great : simple to use, great connections, quality sound, no hassle. Now, with the new systems there are constant bugs, poor inter connectivity etc. It was a great system until the engineers had to justify their existence by screwing it up. Sometimes, engineers don’t know when to leave well enough alone.
