Great price for a versatile mount
I don't get all of the hate for this offset mount. It is actually pretty nice with lots of different mounting options. It's sturdy and held my optic firmly when zeroing. Another great feature is that it mounts your sight close to the gun which is nice as it allows for rapid change between your primary and backup sight without moving your head off the stock. I liked the first one so much I bought a second. With all this said, you will need higher scope rings to mount your red dot. I had a 1.5" Larue mount but needed the 1.93" height mount to fit a red dot under the scope. This is definitely a good buy for the price point.

strong lock
This has a strong lock to the picatinny rail and the best part is the extra screws to make sure that the sight can be mounted correctly. Most sight uses the RMR footprint. The alignment is perfect and the sight is solidly mounted. The 45 degree mount to RMR plate allows for my sight to be a lot lower and closer to rifle.I'm really happy with how close I can put my sight with this mount.

usability limited to side rail only in most cases, well built, won’t work along side majority LPVO
My initial impressions were great. It looks and feels like a superb build quality like a brick dunny. Machined clean and strong. Also you should be aware the mount plate screws are very loose out of the box! And it’s clearly versatile in red dot mounting options. But also there’s an oddity here. I found I could only use two pins and not all four for ADE’s own red dots (the RD3-028P and RD3-015 PRO as they are the only ones I have not in use)! What? I am honestly not sure if they really need all four, but why would every other mount I’ve ever used include the function of all four and this one does not?Aside from that issue I found that it cannot be mounted alongside any of three brands of LPVO I use, nor alongside any other magnified traditional scope optic when mounting it on the top rail. Which makes me very disappointed. Unless of course you push it way out in front of said optic. I did find I could mount it in front of a thermal optic because it’s very short and there is room in front of the cantilever.. But then once I did that I found it extremely difficult (non-functional really) to actually use the MRD. The height over bore is ridiculously low. You could also mount it in front of any fixed magnification device like an ACOG, but again it is extremely difficult to get a good sight picture and you have to really try to get it. It is not natural at all. So any top rail mounting is just plain not an option in my opinion. So I moved to side rail mounting and here it was perfectly usable for rolling to forty-five. However, I know many rails that you cannot necessarily trust to stay perfectly put so this may not be a trustworthy option for a lot of people if they want to be trusting of the zero. I guess if you trust your handguard to not rotate at all and be super solid, this is an option. Or you simply don’t mind a minor POA/POI shift potential then have at it. Any decent handguard really should not be moving unless you’re just crazy abusing your gear.Overall it gets great points for built quality. Just misses out really badly on where you can mount it and what it works with and what it does not. I also find it frustrating that their sales images all show top rail mounting, but I have no clue how they’re making that work.

Stripped
This thing sucks. Went to tighten the left screw and the hole is already stripped. Screw won't set and just keeps spinning. Mind you, I got this specifically because it's cheap and I wanted to experiment with something before I buy something more expensive but still, I haven't even gotten to take it out yet and shoot with it and it's already broken.

Short Range Shooting
This little offset mount is a great addon piece for short range shooting. It is a solid built mount made with good quality metal. It is super lite, so you hardly don't notice the weight. It fit prefectly under my long range scope. I am using it with a Holosun with a "Shake and Wake" feature. Not a bad price point for something as stable as this little mount.Overall this little mount is a great piece that gives options

Might work for you.
The good: Well manufactured, good finish, fits every red dot I tried on it, ambidextrous. The bad: Due to the angle and height of the offset there was no configuration that didn't interfere with the scope. I tried several different scope/mount/red dot combinations and nothing fit without raising the scope well out of normal height over bore range. I then took to reshaping the mount and removed as much of the mounting surface as possible. I was able to get a couple of combinations to fit after doing this.Once I did get working combinations the second problem arose. The height of the red dot with this mount is way too low to be useful. It's below absolute co-witneses height for sure.Basically it's well enough engineered and made, but the guy doing the engineering had no idea what it actually was used for and it was not tested for function on a real rifle.

Comes with lots of hardware for different mounting options
I installed an RMR-pattern micro dot on this offset mount, and the instructions and labeled hardware bags made it pretty simple and straightforward. It seems decently constructed. The mounting pins fit nicely in their respective slots. The screws that attach the picatinny mount have spring washer on them, which I thought was a nice touch, however one of the screws had a bit of a burr that was left behind during machining. Not a big deal, a brass brush took care of that easily enough.Unfortunately, either the screw holes on the mounting plate are too big, or the screws included with my optic are too small... Whichever the case, I could not snug the screws down tightly, as they would start to get snug and then they would lose tension, almost like they stripped. I removed them and inspected both the screws and the mount, but neither really showed any problems, so I retightened them as best I could without overdoing it. We'll see how long it holds. I can't tell if it's the mount or the optic that is the problem, so I guess I can't knock it.
