Expensive for what it is, but it is priceless to solve the faulty design of the Varia RTL515, i.e. no tether facility. Fits securely to the unit and does not hinder performance in any way. Provides reassurance that your expensive Garmin unit is less likely to end up on the tarmac in a 1000 pieces should it manage to break free from the mount, as it can now be tethered to the saddle rails etc. Very happy with the purchase and feel more relaxed riding now as less chance of losing the unit, and I am not constantly checking it is still there.

Yes this a great way to protect your Garmin Varia RTL 515 Radar/lamp. Like you I was concerned it could be lost if the rubber band that secures the mount to the seat post was to snap or pop out of the retaining clip. This protective case is perfect for protecting your costly device. Snaps on securely to the device and the lanyard loops around the seat rail. Performance of the radar seems not to be affected so now I not only know what is approaching but also that the device will remain with me for the duration of the ride. Worth the money and peace of mind.

This tether for the Garmin RTL515 radar fits perfectly and it is a safety back up in case the expensive radar unit should pop out of its mount going over a road bump - plenty of these today! I looped it round the saddle bag mount and I saw no change in radar sensitivity after fitting it. And the tether is not expensive relative to the radar unit. And the charging port for the radar is still accessible. Very pleased with it.

Fits easily over my garmin varia. I never knew these existed and I ride comfortably knowing I won’t lose my varia. The price was so reasonable as well.

If you have a Garmin radar light then you need this as back up incase it falls from your bike. Great quality and does what its designed for.

Fits very snug and tight. Difficult to take off but that further solidifies how good it snaps onto the Garmin varia.
